So I wanted to play Darkrai Lazers for states, here is what I came up with:

4Darkrai Ex
3Sableye

1Keldeo Ex
8
4Juniper
4N
3Random Reciever
3Bicycle
4Catcher
4Dark Patch
4Energy Switch
1Dowsing Machine(now you basically can junk hunt supporters and have 1 more copy of each card in your deck)
4Ultra Ball
1Revive
3Dark Claw
4HTL
2Virbank City Gym

41
11Darkness Energy
11

This I feel is a pretty consistent list :D

This list is formatted weirdly and is a pain to read. Especially the Stadiums... Check the other threads and make your post more like theirs and people might want to help you with your list.

This is my list, and I've been doing pretty good with it, not many losses against Blast/Keldo

4 Darkrai Ex
3 Sableye
1 Keldeo Ex

4 Professor Juniper
3 N
2 Bianca
2 Skyla
2 Virbank City Gym
4 Hypnotoxic Laser
4 Pokémon Catcher
4 Crushing Hammer
4 Dark Patch
3 Ultra Ball
3 Energy Switch
2 Enhanced Hammer
2 Dark Claw
1 Random Receiver
1 Tool Scrapper
1 Super Rod

10 Dark Energy

I agree it definattely needs Mewtwo without it you can get steamrolled against Blastponnies. Anyways, as for the OP you need Bouff to get rid of BKEX, and DCE's and Mewtwo (I'll wait for somoene to back me up on that before I recommend changes.)

Second'd. :)

2 of the regional deck lists that made top cut ran 2 mewtwo ex.

That was in a completely different format.

Mewtwo was better last format, hence the strength of the Darkrai/Mewtwo deck really shined as, yes, adding cards like Mewtwo and Bouffalant helped against Keldeo and opposing Mewtwo.

Now, that deck has changed. Black Kyurem is becoming a bigger focus and Mewtwo is worthless against it. Keldeo has the perfect 170 HP math for Darkrai; Darkrai doesn't struggle at all against Keldeo. It's the Black Kyurem that's the problem. For that reason, I definitely don't think this deck NEEDS Mewtwo and I think it drops consistency for sure and is a liability in almost every single matchup.

Except for the N's (which you may not want to play at certain times), I see no "straight" card draw support other than the Professor Juniper (which dictates discarding your current hand and possible key resources). I'm not counting the Bicycle since that's "conditional" card draw support.

Also, Skylas are critical (at least in my build) to search for a needed Supporter, Item or Stadium when I need one.

Lastly, if Klinklang is a concern in your area, then you might also want to consider a counter like Victini (V-create).

So, my suggested changes for your consideration are:

-1 Professor Juniper
-2 Random Receiver
-2 Bicycle
+3 Biana / Cheren
+2 Skyla

-1 Pokémon Catcher (can just Junk Hunt this back)
-1 Energy Switch ( -- ditto -- )
-2 Dark energy
+1 Victini
+2 Fire energy
+1 Energy Retrieval / Search

I'd also suggest you consider replacing the Revive with a Super Rod and your Dowsing Machine (you have plenty of supporters in your deck, given the suggested changes) with either a Computer Search (1st choice) or Gold Potion (2nd).

Lastly, regarding whether or not to include Mewtwo EX:
  • I currently do not run it my Darkrai EX-Lasers deck. I want my deck to stay as consistent as possible. It's far easier to counter Klinklang decks than Blastoise-Keldeo EX decks. Keep in mind that KK decks are "cheaper" than BK decks; so, I'm expecting KK decks to have a good representation (15%+) at upcoming State tournament (at the least the first one; then they'll go away - lol). At this point, I'll replace my Victini with Mewtwo EX again.
  • Secondly, with the release of the Plasma Storm set, I'm less worried about Keldo EXs as oppose to Black Kyurem whcih 1HKOs any Poké in the current format. So, I need to rely upon my fast, consistent deck to beat players running Blastoise-Keldeo EX decks.

Last I checked, this was Cake 101's thread so if you want your list to be rated, I suggest you start a new thread.

That being said, I don't really care much for Hammers in Darkrai/Lasers. I find the consistency drops a little for no better matchups save for possibly Klinklang that is still an uphill battle because you're still Junk Hunting almost all game anyway. Other than that though, it looks pretty standard to me.

eli this is looking pretty good i suggest cutting a revive for a lunatone and a dark claw for an energy
