@camoclone: This game the wolves just have not been doing a good job with communicating. It isn't always that way. I've been a wolf in a previous WW so I have experience. I've also been an indie and a plain vanilla town.

@KecIeon-X: I really think TheGuy should've been modkilled awhile ago for inactivity. I think he made a whole one post and it was just to vote off Glace the last game day.

I personally don't like beach games in general XD. I'll continue to play only because I'm apparently a poer player here. I believe part of the problem is the forum. It isn't convenient to check a thread instead of your inbox.
 
Yeah, I find Beach games get way too excited with all of the crazy power roles. When you brought up the idea of Glace claiming 2-shot seer, no one would believe it because x-shot anything is a terrible role in the PB Mafia metagame and everyone just assumes it's a fraud.

Pokebeach needs to shape up its werewolf metagame then. It's so bad there are even some Jesters!
 
The host would have to see every message just to make sure it didn't violate any rules.

You will find that not all players that survive until late game are good. Sometimes other players pose more of a threat and so are eliminated. It does take a combination of luck and skill to win at the game. Luck because if you are a wolf ( or indie ) and get Seered, you lose pretty much. Skill in being able to justify actions you take. It also takes skill to persuade members to vote how you want them to.

I disagree. You can easily avoid dying from a seer by claiming some absurd PR. Such as mine or something else. Yes NK'ing players who pose a threat is a legit tactic that I myself use. Get rid of all the good players and make town follow me. This isn't what we were talking about though. We were discussing pokebeach's metagame.
 
Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing a few vanillas in future PB games. It would certainly shape things up over here. Though I think there'd be a lot of RAGEQUIT if people got a vanilla role after all of the crazy roles we've seen here.

Once games hit 25+ players balancing them goes out the window and it becomes "how many cool roles can I fit in this game?".
 
True. I was actually thinking about a class-based thing that was based off TF2 where the Spies are the wolves and you chose what class you are via PM (save Spies, who are naturally chosen at random) to a maximum class count. Therefore, everything is balanced depending on what players choose depending on what their class is.

Kind of pretty cool.

The games should really have a bunch of vanillas and 3-4 town PR's. That would be the start of a better pokebeach werewolf metagame.
 
or even like if half the town was vanilla at first, and gradually ween them off of supah roles.

Kecleon, any chance you could sub/modkill Puff if he doesn't post by the end of day 9? I don't recall him posting at all in the game thread since like Day 5, and I'm puzzled as to why he's still around.

Also thanks for the chat camoclone. Hopefully we'll be able to win together.

Here's the most recent post Puff made in the game, made all the way back on April 17th, which was around 6 weeks ago.

You know what would be nice? A closed setup game for starters.
 
If it had really been that long, he should've just been mod-killed. I'm not just saying that to help the wolves win either. More than two weeks is inexcusable, especially if Puff did not tell you he would be away.

@Astra use the argument that the 3rd wolf needed to be inactive so me,glace, and (The guy). So Theguy was inactive so we just couldn't hammer a town player. Sound good. Understand?
 
We've already got Teal thinking Guy is the final wolf, and Puff never posts and his meta includes bandwagoning, so I don't think we need to say anything else at this point. But if something chances, then awesome and I'll do it.
