Debit Card Help?

Hi :) So a few months ago, I got a debit card. It's a "Walmart Money Card". I've gotten tired of the monthly service fees, so I decided I wanted to cancel. On the card, it says to do such thing, you are required to call some number. I called the number, and was required to enter my 16-digit number. I did so, and it kept telling me my number was invalid. To make sure I wasn't doing something wrong, I tried logging into my account online using the 16-digit code, and I logged in just fine, so I know that my number is valid. I've been trying for hours to try to talk to someone on the phone, but I can't get past the automated customer service because it keeps saying my card number is invalid. Please help!

Try pressing 0 when you get onto the call. Sometimes that will bypass the automated stuff, and bring you to a human.

Quite a predicament. Dialing '0' during the call usually gets a real person on the line, like Secretsof2113 said. Alternatively, you could probably go to a Walmart, head to the Customer Service counter, and ask about having your Moneycard account closed there. Otherwise, I'm not sure there's a whole lot you can do except wait until the card expires...

I'd advise skipping the phone altogether and find a person you can speak to in real life (this goes for pretty much any banking related issue). A phone may be more convenient, but being able to explain your problem to a person face to face always gives better results in my experience.

try this

WalMart MoneyCard phone number for customer service

479-204-3158

or

877-937-4098

You can also try to push the # key after you are done inputting your card number. Usually this acts as an "Enter" button for mot services. :p
