Strategy

Strategy is pretty obvious, Suicune out to stall while I setup a Stoise and Keldeo, then Rush In for the OHKO. Electrode on the bench for draw support and THKO Yveltal EX if need be.

I know what everyone is thinking already about Master Ball and let me tell you it's saved me plenty of times where an Ultra Ball would have been unplayable and is more versatile than a Level or Heavy Ball. I find Computer Search and Dowsing Machine to be the useless Ace Specs because there are Supporter cards that do the same thing, but please feel free to change my mind i am wide open.

Yes, I have considered BKEX and even had him in my deck with Max Potions but after 2 weeks of League I found him to be very time consuming to setup and took my resources away from my main goal, Keldeo.

I have elected to go light on Balls considering the Master Ball and Evosodas, but again always open to suggestions.

What I worry about is consistency with so few of each card but playing it like this has yielded me the best results honestly. I picked apart a Team Plasma deck at League last weekend that had been undefeated all day, just by having Suicune in front.

Also wondering about my Stoise line, but I always find myself with at least 1 on the bench if not 2, and drawing into a 3rd or 4th when I could definitely use something else.

Any and all advice is welcome just know that I have elected to not play BKEX in my Blastoise deck so that's a dead end. Thanks in advance!

What I'm seeing here is major consistency problems. Before I start here, I just want to make it clear that my comments are constructive criticism, it is all in the efforts of improving your deck. I'm gonna start by listing all the cards you need to take out, I'll tell you all the cards you NEED to add, and then all your other options, like what you can choose to take out and put in.

-3 Skyarrow Bridge
-3 Evosoda
-2 Professor's Letter
-2 Cilan
-2 Enhanced Hammer
-2 Bicycle
-2 Water
-1 Lightning
-1 Master Ball

Cards in deck: 42

First thing's first; we need to up your blastiose line big time. You need a large line or you just won't be able to get him out fast enough. We also need rare candy to speed it up.

+1 Blastiose
+2 Squirtle
+3 Rare Candy

Total cards in deck: 48

Now, we need to up your supporter line. It's very weak, you didn't have any Juniper (which is crucial draw power for any deck. Cilan is not worth a supporter slot, because he is almost completely outclassed by professor's letter.

+4 Juniper
+1 Skyla
+1 N

Total cards in deck: 54

In that same vein, you want to up consistency when it comes to your electrode line. He's a great card, and having 2 set up is absolutely amazing. Your search power is really low, but with Electrode you won't have to worry about draw. This is why we will add Ultra Ball, level ball (it helps immensely to set electrode up), and either computer search or dowsing machine. Ultra Ball, dowsing and comp search all have discard, which help you draw more cards with electrode. (And in talking about electrode, you don't want the single lighting energy because he simply is not a good attacker.)

+1 Electrode
+1 Voltorb
+1 Ultra Ball
+2 Level Ball
+1 Dowsing Machine/Comp Search

On the dowsing vs computer search is personal preference really, it's speed vs. sustainability. I use comp search, because if I set up fast enough, I won't need to recover later on, but there's an argument for either. They are simply more versitile than master ball.

Cards in deck: 60

Now, this next part isn't particularly neccesary, and you may object, but I believe it's the best way to go.

-1 Water
+1 Superior Energy Retrival

It's a fair trade-off, you'll want to be able to grab energy back. Now this is the big one:

-1 Suicune
-2 DCE

+1 BKEX
+2 Lightning Energy

With more Blastiose it'll be much easier to set up, and he just adds a ton of power to the deck, and is really a great card. Don't discount him so easily.

If you have any questions about my alterations, don't hesitate to ask. I hope this helps!

The reason why Keldeo as MBT is not as good as it used to be is Yveltal Match. Yveltal, as well as mewtwo and Leafeon, LOVE charged up Keldeos, plus, Keldeo for himself cannot OHKO anything but 110 hp trees and baby -exs, or with 4 water a 130 yveltal or freeze kyurem, with 5 a -150 Charizard/Blastoise/Garchomp/empoleon and any stage 2 on format, with 6 you can now pond Deoxis/thundurus/mewtwo and other keldeos... see where it goes now? immo keldeo as main in competitive is no a wise choice...

As said on the other tread... if not wanting to run BK, try out PLB Kyurem ex. is a perfect vanguard as it benefits from getting hit (i've seen it play with frozen city to self hurt him). Thats his advantage over his Friend obvious inoffensive joke brother (lol) cuz even that a 4 energy 150 attack will never be as good as a 200, it does take away 2 energy, wich can act as a shield for yveltal/mewtwo, and if you fitted a laser bank line you have your ideal MBT

another option is to blastoise the deck... but eeh.. M-blastoise is a good card and so, but a 120 strike is a little low for what it takes to even hit with him.

away from that, take notes on what the upper post suggest, is for taking the quality that this deck is capable of.

For arguments against master ball.

I can see how some people thing grabbing any pokemon for free is pretty great. But being able to discard 2 useless cards in hand and grab anything from your deck or any trainer from your discard is just much better. Granted sometimes its going to be an impossible choice of what to discard when you have nothing but good things in hand. But the pros severely out weigh the cons

Computer Search with 2 + cards in hand and no supporter. No problem. Missing a piece of the blastoise/rare candy combo, computer search fixes that problem. You have to juniper a full 7 cards and 1 happens to be Computer Search, you now only waste 3 cards instead of 6, and you get whatever card will help you the most at that moment. Computer Search basically is 1 more chance for you to draw into anything in your deck at the cost of 3 cards.

Had to discard 1-2 rare candy 1st turn, not a completely loss with Dowsing Machine. About to deck out? Use another super rod. Your opponent just used junk hunt for a devastating play next turn and you already used an N or Red Card. Grab it back and disrupt your opponent. Dowsing machine basicallly gives you + 1 to any and all trainer cards at the cost of 3 cards.

The possibilities are nearly endless for those 2 cards, while Master Ball just grabs you a pokemon you could just use computer search to grab anyway.
