We'll know soon enough if any of it is true. Until then, it's fun to theorize. If someone knows one of the employees of Nintendo, GameFreak, or any place else that deals with making video games, doesn't matter. Like he did say though, the name would not be able to be given. The same kind of thing happens with Yugioh cards all the time.
Even just joking can be fun. My husband and I joked around a LONG time ago now about a Chernobyl Sheep that would glow of radiation and give off a "vom vom vom" sound when it was around. The next thing we know, there is Mareep in GSC. Another bit was before RuSa came out. We joked about a fire kick for Hitmonlee to go with fire punch. Then here comes Blaze Kick for Bashamo (Japanese name used since I don't like Blaziken).
September 28 will be here soon enough. If Nintendo was wise, they would do a worldwide release but they are still caught in the out-dated thought of segmented markets. Yet thanks to the Internet, we in the world outside Japan will still get to know everything before the game even hits shelves. Long before hand given how they love to string out game releases. And given that Nintendo of America people on Camp Hyrule last week would not even dignify what we know even now about D/P, it's not far fetched to say that it already makes them irritated that everything gets told and ripped apart online. Be it ROMs, walkthroughs, or anything else.
I got in an almost argument with one of the NOA people in the Pokemon room there. He would not even acknowledge what I know already about the starters or anything else.
