Pokémon:
  • 4 Sableye (Junk Hunt)
  • 3 Garbodor (Garbotoxin)
  • 3 Trubbish
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums:
  • 4 Puzzle of Time
  • 1 Life Dew
  • 3 Red Card
  • 3 Delinquent
  • 3 Float Stone
  • 2 Skyla
  • 3 Parallel City
  • 1 Battle Compressor
  • 3 Professor Sycamore
  • 1 Super Rod
  • 4 Team flare Grunt
  • 4 VS Seeker
  • 4 Trick Shovel
  • 2 Level Ball
Energy:
  • 6 Darkness Energy
Strategy:

Set up Sableye and burn through the opponents deck with a combination of trick shovels and parallel city and delinquent/red card combo. Life dew keeps you safe and the puzzles give you unlimited card access.

I don't think the 3-3 line of Garbodor is absolutely necesary. I would rather fill those two spaces with a bunnelby and another Battle Compressor. the Bunnelby is great late game for discarding their deck directly, and also gives you the option to grab from your discard as well. Otherwise, the list looks really solid. Very similar to the one that placed in T4 at a Tourney at my locals.

The bunnelby works quite well actually, with the option to recover cards or discard cards. And the compressor works too, I'm just thinking, how to get around quaking punch?

That's where you Team Flare Grunts become vital to winning. The matchup is hard post T2, but it's certainly winnable. Most Toad decks run very limited energy counts.

Just an FYI before you get excited about the deck. Junk Hunt Sableye can be used but it'll be for an extended deck list, not standard. Same with life dew.

Yeah I know it's expanded, still would be a fun deck to have/use in expanded battles. Would Skyla or Misty do anything godo here?

Ok, just saw that you had it listed as standard and just wanted to make sure you knew. I played against this deck in a league challenge. It was very tough to beat and looked fun to play.

I'm experimenting with a similar build for Standard, but with Durant in-place of Sableye. I think I need to fix my trainer base and work on survivability a bit, but I almost succeeded in milling a few players out tonight.

Also wondering how it keeps up with night march, how well does the durant deck deal wiith it?

There's no point in trying to survive with a milling deck. All you're trying to do is mill their deck down while having a bench setup to continue to mill. You can help yourself with things like hammers, Xerosic and grunts. But ultimately you're going to get OHKO'd.

For a standard version of his deck you can try bunnelby/ diggersby combo

Diggersby might just be what I need! Pickup is basically Junk Hunt and can be used to do the Puzzle Of Time lock. Brilliant!

The Durant deck is amazing against Night March, especially if you can manage to keep disposing of their energy. NM relies heavily on Battle Compressors which makes milling so much easier. Unfortunately, the Durant build is AWFUL against the Houndoom-EX/Volcarona mill deck. Blacksmith is just too strong.

Yeah, WOW. That'll do. What I just did to the person I played online should be illegal in several countries. Diggersby works just as well as Sableye. Once you get them in a Puzzle Of Time/Pickup lock, it's pretty much game over. Feel free to have your way with them. Durant is a more than suitable backup, especially if you build him up on the bench and mill for 4 when you come in.

Hmm I can substitute sableye for diggersby as a 3-3 line, move some cards around and make a standards deck, remove the dew etc..
