As we all know platinum is set to release in a couple of weeks and with that comes our first ever SP pokemon. Do you like the concept of them are you going to play them what do you think?

I liked the idea at first. After we started recieving news that SP Pokemon are going to be part of the future sets I lost interest.

I won't probably play the SP Pokemon for States/Regionals. I will consider them for Nats. Worlds, and Fall BR's.

I like them, but just hope they won't get more powerful support as in BET - the limit of good support is reached, and broken support is only a small step away.

What I like about the SP Pokemon as they are now (And in BET) - They are powerful but not in such a way that you have to play SP Pokemon to win. SP decks exist next to regular decks. Compare to the Delta era. I rest my case.

I've never liked them, and it's unlikely I will start to like them. Nevertheless, they're a possible metagame deck due to the plethora of cards that revolve around them, so you'll definitely be seeing them.

Crobat G I'll definitely be using.

I like them but I truly don't see them being that good with Machamp and Mewtwo and I don't think I will use too much. They look cool though.

I'm guess they are OK, but I don't want SP Pokemon to go on forever. It's sort of weird in an unexplainable reason. I understand that some people like them, but just don't keep them around forever.

We may see them in some meta. Hopefully, this does not encourage Mewtwo/Machamp players at all.

Stormfront is already out, and what SP Pokemon are in it?

I like the concept of the SP Pokemon coming out in Platinum and I do think I'll be playing with them a bit to see if I like them. Don't know if I'll take an SP deck to States or Regionals though.

Well it already encouraged me I just made room in my Dusknoir/something(I don't know yet) for a 1-1 Mewtwo X line as a tech.

SP Pokemon are fantastic, and I'm definately going to play them sometime. Although they're a bit weak attacking wise, they have a ton of tools that they can use to their advantage. Their tools let them attack for 1 less energy (which makes up for the low-ish damage output), punish evolving, return to your hand like the original scoop up, and even stop poke-powers. In the next set, they get an exclusive Bebe's (which is a Trainer), a slightly useful TM, several supporters that compliment them, and even a special energy designed for them.

Although they won't be epically awesome in Platinum, when BET comes out, they will be a significant threat. And with Pulse of the Frontier coming out in a couple months in Japan, they're only going to get stronger, with a plethora of options available to them.

So, to answer your question, yes. I like the introduction of Pokemon-SP.

Love them. Absolutely 100%. I like the concept of strong Basics and with all the Trainers and such dedicated to them, they're my spiritual success to the deltas. I see if they make more decks, this format will be mainly SP, just like the deltas were. I'll be playing them as often as I can for fun and tournaments as well.

dmaster out.

i like them, they are pretty cool, kinda like d pokemon which i liked as well.... always liked the new random pokemon.

If this continues, I'll just make a Mewtwo LvX deck and it'll be a dominant thing almost like Gardy-Gally.

I like them, although I'm not sure they'll get any extreme use until BET.
They remind me of Shining Pokemon off the ol' Neo sets. However, they do have one interesting effect. Weaknesses become something which has to be looked after, because of the X2 weakness.

MAH CHAMP is.

Only thing stopping that is Unown G. Which every SP Player should run.

lol, most of the G pokemon are psychic type, and th ebest one, toxicroak G, has a body that prevents machamp.... skuntank also laughs in it's face, hitting for 50 and possibly no attack, and if champ X is in play, then it hits for 120....
