The title more or less says it all: do you think higher-leveled Pokemon should be less likely to catch than lower-leveled Pokemon? As of right now, the level makes no difference; you have the same odds of catching a level 1 Mewtwo as one at level 100, given otherwise identical circumstances. The only contributing factors are the species' base catch rate, ranging from 3 to 255 with lower numbers meaning a less likely catch, the remaining percentage of HP, the status ailment, and the type of ball. I personally think the level of the Pokemon should be a contributing factor. How about you guys? Discuss!

Since you encounter most stronger Pokemon at higher levels anyway, it doesn't really matter. I don't think that level should come into the capture formula, because not only would it be irrelevant in many cases, but changing it would unseat the Regis as being the biggest capture trolls ever.

Well hey, higher-level Pokémon are stronger, right? It would make sense to make them harder to catch, too. Obviously, Pokémon isn't entirely realistic, but even level affecting it just a tad might be nice.
Actually, the only time when a level 1 Mewtwo and a level 100 Mewtwo have the same catch chance is if they both have full HP or an equal percentage. If both have 1 HP, the level 100 is much easier to catch due to a lower percentage of max HP.

That would make capturing some legandaries like Latios/Latias in HGSS completely trivial.
It's a common error when people mistake higher level Pokemon being 'harder to catch'. It's just whittling their health down and inflicting the with status effects that get's tougher the more powerful and important the enemy. It would make sense if the computer got smarter with each level and trainer too.
