DonChamp, Reshiboar or MagneBoar?

Well if you want to use RDL to attack for a couple of turns in a row but don't have quite enough energy you might want to drop him, attach a lightning, then wait a turn to attach lightning and 2 fires so you can only use 2 more energy every turn. But I'm careful with this because a reversal could end your game there. I did beat Samurott/Feraligatr with Reshiboar, and we both played well and set up. I used RDL most of the game and finished with Reshiboar and Pluspowers.

My current HGSS deck is lostmewgar, and it's going great but while im testing / playing that I am building magneboar in the backround :D (expensive deck choices lol) I have played a proxy'd version of magneboar and had alot of fun with the deck :) I like the attacking options and RDL is just fun to play with lol! So my money is obviously on magneboar.

Which, btw, is the one time you do drop RDL legend, against Lostgar or variants. No reason not to.

RDL early enough turns lostgar into a massacre. Badboar, if you run it, also helps; how many attackers in your build?

Well in Magneboar I'm thinking of running one Reshiram pretty much in case of Umbreon. Then 3 Magnezone, and a 2-2 RDL

a good reason to lay RDL down is so your opponent doesn't judge you out of the time you would now have wasted getting rdl.

and against umbreon why not just use emboar? umbreon still isn't errata'd to include abilities. (it should, but isn't)

Honestly, in practice for nats, I've played against a few donchamp deck varients a bunch of times and it doesn't seem as great as expected....it's too slow on set up either by not getting enough energies or not evolving fast enough...it's weird because it seems like it would be faster than magneboar because of only a stage 1 and stage 2 line but with no draw power included, it's sluggish...

Which begs the question. Should decks like Magneboar and Reshiboar run an excess of Judge? Good use of disruption paired with lack of commonly available drawpower could put a lot of decks away for good.

exactly. with ninetales for reshiboar and shuckle for magneboar, they could set up much faster after judge. only problem is if you don't draw a fire energy for reshiboar. magneboar can get up to 6 right away though.
