This is a random deck I just thought of and needed to put down on paper (or in this case computor). The strategy is to take advantage of your high HP and low energy costs and their low HP. Early game you want to set up donphans and Samurotts and take a few prizes. Later game you can hit hard with Zekrom and Samurott with the abitlity to charge up qick with Eelektrick. I'd like to know if I should use the baby eel with 30 HP and free retreat or the baby eel with 40HP and 1 retreat. I'd also enjoy any suggestions as this deck is untested.
If you believe I should run a split of Tynamos post what split in the comments!

The 40 HP, since you will die if you're catchered up anyways. Also, get more electric pokemon to replace Donphan, since he really is detrimental to your entire deck late game.

I feel donphan is necessary in this deck because Magnezone and Zekrom varients are popular in my area and other than winging it with zekrom you lose to them.

its a nice deck to counter the lightning and fire meta but i shudder if you run into gothitelle and the truth

It has a 40/60 matchup against The Truth, but it just dies to gothitelle.

None of the pokemon in this deck compliment any of the other...

You don't run enough fighting energy to justify Donphan, which makes him pointless because before you can even make use of him you need 1-2 fighting on him, which even if you get the 2 rainbows, thats 20 damage and freeing him up for an easy OHKO.

You also don't run any pokemon or trainers that discard Lightning energy, so Eelektrik is going to be a pointless catcher bait. The only way eelektrik is going to be of any use is if your throwing your pokemon to the meat grinder and using it to make up for it by slowly recharging a pokemon.

Honestly surprised the matchup for The Truth and this deck isn't more like 20-80 in The Truths favor, since it can counter all of the pokemon in this deck (Donphan to Zekrom, Zekrom to Samurott, Donphans headbutt in Truths favor with Reuniclus), but with greater survivability.

A better choice than Samurott would probably be to run Lanturn Prime. It's a stage 1 so it's faster, and it can gain more use from Eelektrik while being able to be both Water or Electric depending on your needs.

3-3 Lanturn Prime
3-2 Donphan (Prime) HS
3-2-1 Eelektross NV
2 Zekrom
1 Cleffa
20 Pokemon

4 Pokemon Collector
4 Professor Oak's New Theory
3 Engineer's Adjustments
2 Sages Training
4 Pokemon Communication
3 Pokemon Catcher
3 Junk Arm
2 Eviolite
25 T/S/S

7 Lightning
4 Rainbow

First, samurott is better in this deck because you must do 160 strait damamge to OHKO it it and it doesn't have weakness to donphan like zekrom. Second, your list ran no more fightings than mine. Third, I ran 4 Junk Arm and 4 Sage's. And the truth matchup is diferent because you hit all their guys for weakness too and you have much better consistancy.

Actually, you dont have to hit for 160 to OHKO Donphan because you can use Underwater Dive to change to water.

No, I meant you need to do 160 to ohko samurott, but you only need to do110 to ohko lanturn

i like it but it doesnt need eelektrik one stage 1 just to boost isnt worth it ud be better with donphan dragons

^ come again?
Anyway, have you tested this? I'm just not seeing the synergy between these pokemon. So early game you want to set up a stage 2 that benefits from water with no water in your deck? Sure you have rainbow, but that means your damage cap is 90 for 3 energy. That high hp you have? It's weakened by the fact you have rainbow. Donphan can't make use of {L} or dce, so I'm not sure about that. Also, against the truth, it would have the advantage because it has twins, trainer lock, and damage swap, as well as the ability to hit all your pokemon for weakness. Test this deck and tell us how it does.

I have tested this, and the strategy works. The idea is to hit for weakness with samurott and beat the things samurott has weakness to with donphan. After testingmI have concluded that this deck is good, but not tornament worthy.

If a mod could lock this thread that would be nice. No more feedback needed.
