This is all based on the way i build my deck and i pay very close attention to how many catchers I use. Your 100% correct that sometimes your forced to discard things on juniper, I just make sure to set up my strategy around not having that card. IMO Comp search is superior but there are abosolutely playstyles and decks that will make dowsing machine better.

Even if you're extremely careful in your resources, sometimes having a fifth card can throw your opponent off. For example, late game, if your opponent sees you've used four catchers, they'll be more likely to bench a free prize, knowing you can't kill it. However, Dowsing Machine allow you to. I agree, Computer Search is still amazing, but I feel like people are undervaluing Dowsing Machine.exdarkrai01 said:

reason: It has always been a staple in it's previous, more powerful forms (Item Finder, Junk Arm). I say more powerful due to the fact that you could play more then one in a deck. This card can be clutch in some cituations getting you that crucial supporter or game winning Catcher. This card will definetly compete for best "Ace Spec" with computer search, and will be better in some decks then computer search and vice versa.

I'm definately going to run this over Computer Search, even in Darkrai. A Fifth Dark Patch, fifth Catcher... Usually my opponent will N right after I Junk Hunt, and this will prevent that, and keep suprise on my side.
