Dragonite

I could see that working; I am a huge fan of Victini (hence my picture thingy). He's a cool Pokemon that had a good card. I'm not too sure about the Victory Piece in here though. I suppose it can't be scrappered with deafen, but I just can't help but thinking that dowsing or Comp Search would go better.

Sadly I just don't see this deck working without Tropical Beach let alone Champions Festival to remove damage counters from Dragonite and your other bench sitters. If you want to run budget draw supporters over it then be my guest although I understand that Tropical Beach is hard to come by due to how scarce of a staple it is, however the best Stage 2 to pair up with Dragonite is Reuniclus for Damage Swap since it makes Dragonite a tank while Garbodor is a nice tech in here for getting around Red Signal from Genesect EX in the VirGen matchup.

If you don't have access to Champions Festival for Dragonite then run Cresselia EX for Sparkling Particles instead since it's alot cheaper to get ahold of and it combos with Reuniclus's Damage Swap ability nicely. Mr. Mime, Virizion EX, and Mewtwo EX are all great one of's to run in this deck as well. Computer Search is the ACE Spec card of choice in here over Dowsing Machine since you need to be able to setup in alot of different places. Most Dragonite/Reuniclus decks I've seen online run 5 Grass and 4 DCE so I'm a bit surprised that you're running Fire instead.

It actually works great. You don't really need stadiums most of the time, because usually you can't use them helpfully (virbank no lasers, pokemon center no sniper).

^ah, erm, about that. Apparently there is a card called Yveltal EX in format, and apparently its pretty splashable and playable in loads of decks. Ah, also, it rips this decks soul apart and eats it for breakfast on a daily basis. Oh, and also apparently itll be big for states. Shame, isn't it. Maybe a tech raichu could work for you. But then again, there isn't a single beach in this list so maybe you just want consistency.

Darkrai/yveltal/buffo is where I don't think about this deck for states, it seems nice in a format where.... virizion genesect is a thing, but with (del)rayboar again no I don't think about this deck at all for states, maybe LC's.

I don't see the point in playing red card, unless you plan on milling there hand, i don't see it's use in this deck if you already run N.

11 supporters (8 draw supporters)+ the jirachi, thats pretty bold man.

Thanks. But what should I play instead of red card? Maybe Muscle band? plus, if they load up yveltal, I use mewtwo- X ball

They'll never need to put anything past a DCE and 2 darkness energy to get a ohko on dragonite or victini if it's active, mewtwo can't ohko that next turn if it has nothing attached. Mind you just attacking with buffo is fine, you counter with mewtwo, and then they counter with there mewtwo, the deck plays to counter plasma, which actually helps them in this matchup as well.

This deck doesn't need more tools, it needs more supporters.

^ That is a matter of planning if you run Mewtwo, not just a done deal; a matchup set in stone. If you see you're facing Darkrai / Yveltal, you would use Victini to start slapping Energy on one or two Dragonite on the bench. Usually just one. Afterward, you Turbo Energize once on Mewtwo on the bench. Typically, they aren't going to get a four energy, Muscle Banded Yveltal turn two (unless you pulled something like a game I saw where he got N'd to four, with three being Dark Patches. He won that game.), so you'll have time to Deafen to your heart's content, set up Garbodors, Dragonites et cetera, and when they do come up with an Yveltal, you have a Mewtwo ready to KO, albeit losing your trainer lock.

Have you thought about Roserade with Le Parfume? I know he's a stage one, but he seems to be fantastic in Virizion/Genesect, and he isn't a snipeable EX with 90 HP. ;)

You should definitely think about it for states.

Nah, I'm good with my Empoleon/Dusknoir deck since it's the only deck I have built for the Pokemon TCG plus I don't get to play the Pokemon TCG as much as I do MTG, Kaijudo, and Vanguard these days unless If there's a League Challenge at my LGS or City Champs going on. I also think the price tag and scarcity of Tropical Beach is keeping some of my friends away from coming back into the Pokemon TCG let alone the game's power creep.

I'm planning on building 2 Pokemon decks for a couple friends of mine one of which being a Raichu deck since it's one of his favorite Pokemon next to Mewtwo. I just haven't been able to get any XY Starter Decks and singles to work on it yet since my family's been very busy lately, that and the polar vortex ruining my weekend plans. It's been a long while since I last played at States and judging with what's currently being played in today's meta I know I'm already going to do horrible without owning at least 1 Tropical Beach in order to compete.

I was talking about trevenant in dragonite, I should read things once and awhile.

I play garb. Please realize this. I this is great for keldeos/ emboar decks. This is not becoming as accelgor deck, a I believe that that is going to be a very bad deck.

How does he work?

Roserade states that when you play him from your hand to evolve a Roselia, you may search your deck for any one card and put it into your hand. It's very handy for VirGen because they run G Booster as their Ace Spec, and of course, they slow down quite a lot. This makes Roserade a surrogate Computer Search, especially nice when you're running Victory Piece or other Ace Specs that don't search. I mean, you can Le Parfume for your Victory Piece if you really wanted to. It's not bad.

Oh, I see, wrong thing.....Dragonite yeah, um, against roserade, I would rather play jirachi instead if you need something for the ability based search, you could play roserade but it takes away from setting up garbo more effecently where what you would end up having to run garbo for you would have to run for both roserade and garbo, jirachi is seprate and doesn't utilize anything outside a ball or just dropping it down to the bench for the search. However once the ace spec is lost there is also this one handy card I tech 1-1 for sableye darkness energy, basically even if you get scrappered the tool thats fine you sableye and grab the v-piece back mid game, In theory they drop you down to 3 prizes, 5 and then I tech in shaymin instead of mewtwo and then get my 6th prize that way (e.switch out of nowhere, slap in the fact, it's a fun deck to play I think but thats pretty much your vir/gen matchup).
