Dragons Exalted Price Predictions

I think the last time someone bought cards for me was Christmas when my aunt bought me a promo box and then when I was 8 my dad used to buy me around 3 booster packs a month, which lasted till I was 9 and started getting allowance >.>

I am a little perturbed at the price of the SR Rayquaza as of right now as well. I just want one for my DRX collection and I dont think Im gunna be paying 100 bucks for it anytime soon. I think as far as the game goes, alot of people wanting to build a deck around Dragon types will just run a deck without it such as Hydre/Darkrai or RayEels and maybe try to tech against i just in case. However, that itself is difficult when the cheapest (energy-wise) attacker of the Dragon type is Rayquaza itself.

No one buys cards for me :( (I'm in the Masters division). It seems like you have to part with a lot of money in order to play competitively in this game.

With that said, you could only buy the cards that you need for the deck you want to run (plus the cards you'll need for the inevitable changes you make to the deck) and make proxies for every other deck that you want to test against. That would save a lot of money :).

Ya its anoyying to have to spend money and I proxied it in EELs to find out its good not amazing and that Mewtwo and Tornadus EX although harder to attack with on T1 can put on pressure, but Rayquaza destroys Garchomp. Plus I have lots of proxied decks.

Is it really THIS big a deal? We'll probably get regular Rayquaza in the next set. Is 3 months of usage really enough that waiting will hurt you badly?

It is a big deal as in it makes players who don't have it have less of a chance against someone who does. I understand there are replacements (Mewtwo and Tornadus EX although Rayquaza is better for what it does), but not having it for regionals and BR (assuming there are CP) can really hurt your chances against someone who does have it and it just kills Garchomp which is going to become popular and it also kills tynamo. Yes I understand we will get it in the next set, but you could be missing out on some CP early on in the year that could hurt your chances of a worlds invite if it comes down to the last few points for the invite at the end of the season. I'm just upset a 13 year old would have to spend $100 on 1 card!!

Let's just hope shiny rayquaza is released in the
Dragon vault Box.

Anyways this thread is about price predictions not rayquaza.

What do you guys think about ho oh ex? It's
Not a great card but it sure is pretty.

I have noticed that Rayquaza-EX's price has been dropping. At one point I saw that the pre-order price on Troll and Toad was $37.99, now it has fallen to $29.99.

I got one at the first pre-release that I went to and ended up trading it away for three Raikou-EX (non-FA) because I needed them for an Eels deck. I think the price will keep falling, especially considering the fact that the card will be available in a tin in September.

Except it doesn't give people a better chance. Not every deck out there plays the card, so it's simple, play a different deck if the one you had in mind for some reason requires Rayquaza.

Garchomp is a good deck but lately all I've heard is that it's not all it was cracked up to be, no worries about that. Also the more Rayquazas that would be out there would just drop the population of said Garchomp decks due to worry. Which would in turn drop the "need" for Rayquaza.

And I was thirteen whenever I played LuxChomp. And let me tell you, Luxrays were expensive. I wasn't upset though, it makes no sense to be. Upset that I'm paying for a hobby I chose? That's just nonsense. And besides, no one said you have to spend the money.

I'm not even playing a deck that requires it and yes I realize Garchomp is terrible after I tested it for about 50 games. I was just making a point for the general senior who has to drop a lot of money to enjoy something they love. I'm playing Garbodor this year so I don't actually need it. Also in testing with it it's good not amazing so Rayquaza definitely is getting too much hype.
