Someone really needs to explain that the ds3 was an aprils fools joke that got way out of hand. Nintendo released it on the first of april and later admitted it was a joke. Never trust anything anyone says on aprils fools. They wouldnt be releasing info on a new ds when the dsi XL just came out in europe and aus.

Where I live they Marketed it as the DS3 not the other way round? From what I have seen it could be possible but nintendo said it would come out in the end of march 2011 which seems a little close for something that impressive.
 
Close? That's an entire year away. For Japan, that's 1 year and 4 months since the DSi XL, if I recall correctly.

EDIT: Ack, I must not have been clear enough. I meant if the 3DS comes out in Japan in March, it will have been 1 year and four months since their release of the XL.
 
No the Dsixl came out in japan 8 months ago in japan. They would want people elswhere to have time to buy the Xl ten to spend even more money again on the 3DS/DS3.

The 3DS ("DS3") is not an April Fool's joke.

If it was a joke, it would have been said by a major gaming outlet by now.

And it hasn't.
