Eelektross in zekeels

I was wondering if I should add a 1 of slurp shakedown eelektross just in case I run into vileplume because there are a lot of special conditions running around and Im sorta scared about trainer lock becuz I run a very trainer heavy zekeelz

It's definitely worth the deck slot. I would tech it in just to be safe.

I would highly reccomend it. Other decks can only run Espeon which only blocks Vanilluxe decks but there are other Vileplume decks, and Eelektross can also help in other matchups too.

How exactly do you plan to draw this Eelektross?

How else, you just pick up the card of the top of your deck

I see it being a pretty good idea, just watch out catcher when you don't want it.

Pokemon Communication isn't that hard to use, is it?

I'd say sure. It's like a tech in case of emergencies, and a disruption that does 60 is always nice to have around. Go for it.

It is hard to draw against Trainer Lock but you'll eventually hit it off a supporter. It's no harder to search out than an Espeon line is.

Well, I've never seen a successful Eels list with Pokémon Communication. Level Ball, on the other hand, is used in every Eel deck and can search out Espeon.

However, you have two things to search out. I find that it isn't too hard to hit the Electross when you have a lot of turns to do so. (Which, obviously, you do with Vileplume.)

Once Vileplume is out, though, Eelektross will be much easier to get out than Eevee and Espeon if you didn't already bench Eevee. Also, once Vileplume is out Eelektross is just as hard to get as Espeon, but it's one less card and arguably works better since you can KO Vileplume if they don't have Slippery Soles Vanilluxe out, and if they do you can drag it up again the next turn.

The only problem with Electross is that you're only left with 1-2 Eelektriks when you evolve. Of course, this hardly matters when you're dealing with lock, but it's still a pain working with fewer Eels.

So you plan on getting this out under lock with four energy while only having 1-2 Eels left? I would go Espeon or even another dragger over this.

i dont really know if I should add in anything I just want to be able to have a favorable matchup against vileplume

Elektross would give you a favorable match-up, because you can constantly shift his guys around, and this is really going to get annoying. I'd suggest you test it, and then decide. But I strongly would recommend it.

As far as the Eels problem goes, add in another Eel (The one from DE) and the Elektross, and you're resources are conserved. Also, most Zekeels decks should run 4 eels IMO.
