Pokemon Electric sodier porygon!

anybody every heard of the electric sodier porygon incedient?

if you havent look it up on bulbapedia

an episode of the anime caused almost 700 children in japan have seizures!
 
Yeah. The sad part was, it was Pikachu who caused the seizures. But they banned Porygon instead.

They should ban Pikachu... (Poor Porygon...)
 
I heard it a long time ago and actually watched that part that gave the kids the seizure. That episode had gotten banned, as well as other episodes in the past.
 
this is way old. it happened in the 90's. I remember hearing about it on the news. Porygon is one of my favorite pokemon.
 
Old news. Pokemon should have seen it coming. I mean, flashing red and blue screens? That's seizure city. Plus they had guns in the episode. Not good.

lots of other shows have guns.. so why should pokemon not be able to?
 
Also I heard the eposide about tentacools that evolved into one big tentacruel was banned from the TV. I have actually no idea why, but I've seen it before it was banned :p

The U.S. banned this episode from airing again because it is somewhat similar to the destruction of 9-11.

But yes, I have heard of this episode. Considering it gave kids seizures, I don't see why the Pokemon company didn't even think of results of bright lights in front of kids.
 
^Yeah didn't they ban the previous one because James entered a beauty contest and did rather inappropriate stuff?
 
They banned the one that ash caught 30 tauros' in because of guns i haven't seen it can't stand the japanese voices lol
 
Also the one that was I think in the Hoenn region when there was a Whiscash causing a earthquake or something. When that episode was about to air there was an earthquake in Japan, so they decided to ban that episode.

Though the Electric Soldier Porygon episode was one of the biggest to be banned. Because it gave about 7000 kids seizures. If you check on Wikipedia you can watch that part that gave them seizures.

That was the coolest Pokemon episode I've ever seen! Giant Tentacruels smashing building, Butterfree using fly, and Pokemon arguing!

Oh and the Porygon episode is up on Youtube.

Pikachu is stupid and they should ban it anyway. Yes I have heard of the electric porygon incident very sad.
 
I remember in a dream I had once, I was one of the kids who had a seizure and me screaming, Tasukete! Tasukete! Then I woke up from my nap and had a slurpee....
 
It is true. I watched just part of it on Youtube, and got really light headed and felt sick from the bright lights, and I didn't even watch it that long!
