Guiding questions:
1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
5. How's the artwork?

Posts MUST be several sentences long with proper grammar and spelling or they will be deleted - this forum is to discuss specific cards so other people can learn about their potential in the current metagame.

1. It cant really stand on its own, but it works decently in high energy decks such as steelix.
2. Healix.
3. Steelix/ twins engine.
4. 3/5 it works, but not that well, the discard everything else part hurts this card, as well as being able to be sprayed, but if you get the enrgymite early, it becomes a valuable tech.
5. beastly, I love the smile.

NUMBA 2!

1. I think that a creative player could come up with a way to make this card stand on its own - although it would be very challenging seeing as how he only has a really good pokepower and nothing else really good going for him. He has a sloppy hp, a terrible weakness, and a crap attack. He does have a nice retreat cost though (though free would be better).
2. I've seen him in regigigas and steelix - but I imagine he could fit into anything (accept for SP - that would put the flame out)
3. Since using his power puts your opponent in the lead, you can take advantage of the Twins card and get exactly what you need next turn.
4. Its a late prime, so naturally it is pretty horrible X-D. But I like primes, and this one is just like the Base Set stuff - bringing back the good ol times. 4.6/5
5. Prime art rules! 19/10

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
Stand on it's own = NO NO NO, Terrible and usually should not be played without extra combos or techs

2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
You can apply Legend cards such as Entei Raikou Legend so after it gets knocked out they're all fully charged and ready for action. ( Leafeon X ) is good too
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
You can actually combo it with rescue energy, nearly anything can but this way you get its Poke Power more than once.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
4 - 5 , More combos than other Primes but less damage alone. Together it can be like our country, always the WINNER!
5. How's the artwork?
I LUV the artwork, Its so dramatic with all the lighting. ( 10 out of 5 I'd say)

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
It ahs potential and has some worth, but CANNOT STAND ON IT'S OWN!
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
Healix?
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
Rescue Energy for multiple power use [though why you'd want to use it more than once is beyond me....]
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
2/5 Gigashock is fine, but Energymite is not worth the risk.
5. How's the artwork?
4/5 It looks like "IMMA CHARGING MAH LAZOR!"

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
On it's own, it has no chance. Low Hp, low atk and a really nasty weakness. The other point is it's type. There only SP playing lightning with sucess.
It has some potential, but do you really want to knock out your own Pokémon, that bad for the chance of 1-2 energies? Even with Twins this power is low.

2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
It could be used in some, but you just don't want to.

3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
Twins and maybe something else with knock outs... But still no really game breaking combos.

4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
1/5
As said, it has potential, but it just can't be used!

5. How's the artwork?
It remindes me of all the other artworks made with Electrode. Looks cool, but still it's a bit lame. 3/5.

5. How's the artwork?

1. Electrode hasn't really been able to stand on its own (even since base set). However, belted, he could have some potential.

2. Healix as aforementioned. I'm using it in an Electivire deck to get my energies out.000

3. Electrode and Electivire has a nice combo. Attach a Rescue Energy to Electrode Prime while Electivire (SW for Unlimited. or TR) up on the field. Then use Energymite (with lots of Energy in the deck of course.) Then attach all those energy to all the pokemon on the field. I have a deck based around this and it works quite nicely.

4. 4/5 More HP would be nice and not having to discard the other cards, but overall an awesome card.

5. 5,000,000 out of 5. I think this is my favourite Prime artwork. (I also love Electrode).

my answers are the same above.

HOWEVER. with research records from Call of legends, you can easily set yourself up for energymite.
there is less risk as you can just put important cards you find on the top 4 of your deck onto your bottom.
then right after that you can use twins and help you set up before the opponent does.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
Here's a disclaimer: Only use this in decks with above-average energy counts (at least 15 I'd say, with more being better), and never use this in metas where SPs abound. You will just invite trouble. So no. I don't think this is worth playing. Except in something strange, like Lugia Legend.
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
...No idea. Something that needs a lot of energy to attack maybe. I thought of Regigigas, but that would be superfluous because he can get the energies himself. Steelix which was mentioned earlier is a possible.
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
Second Sight. Wait no. I have no idea.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
2/5. Ew. No. Go away. Energymite is far too overrated. (I might be saying this just because my meta is SP-heavy, but at the same time, only those who have good luck with Interviewer's would use this. And then again, Interviewer's might be a better option anyway!)
5. How's the artwork?
Eh. Fun.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
Bad, really really bad, as its power doesnt affect itself. It may be played but only in combo.
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
LEGEND decks is the only thing i can think about (explain later in combos)
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
LEGEND cards have often high costs and you charge it with them. One that i think can combo well with this card is Rayquaza&Deoxys LEGEND, as Electrode is one prize less but it can charge Rayquaza&Deoxys and with its body attack and win 2 prizes. Its the only thing that canovercome the prize handicap
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
1.5/5. In extreme necesity, it may be useful, but there are lots of better cards to charge pokemon (for example, Electivire FB Lv.X) that doesnt require to sacrifice one pokemon. It would be 2/5 but for a prime that is extremely rare to see its pretty bad :(
5. How's the artwork?
I love it, Electrode looks like it has to look, and you can imagine doing BOOM in that image :)

LOL at you guys thinking Rescue Energy works on this guy when you pop him. Rescue Energy clearly states that a Pokemon must be Knocked out by Damage from an attack. >_<

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
Garbage attack, semi-decent power. Dialga with Reverse Time could be fun

2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
LEGEND decks or T-tar possibly

3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
Charge high power attackers, focer the stupid gengar decks to take prizes to stop their twins.

4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
3.5/5

5. How's the artwork?
It's Trode what more can I say

Are you using rescue energy to save him from being sniped on the bench? Or to combo with his power?

If its to Combo with his power then you can't due to the text on rescue energy:Rescue Energy provides colorless energy. If the pokemon this card is attached to is KnockedOut by 'Damage from an attack', put that pokemon back to your hand.(discard all cards attached to that pokemon)

His power is not an attack, thus Rescue is a no go to use as a combo with his power.
