BW/BW2 Elite Four and Champion Names Revealed!!!

alder doesnt sound all that...threatening. lance was good, steven wasnt that good but it worked and cynthia was great but alder...
 
Yeah i'm still trying to figure out the name too. Most of his team has bug types, but i can't think of anything that would go with Alder
 
The elite 4 teams are disappointing. Only 4 pokes the first time around? But their final 6 are nice.
 
I think Alder is meant to sound like Elder or Eldest, but that is just my own guess. I really like the name Marshal; it seems to fit him well. The other names I am so-so about.
 
Alder is a good name considering this region's Champion is just an old man who was selected to be the Champion and didn't even fight the Elite Four.

And we had "Steven" as a Champion, and he was still pretty badass.
 
"shuantal" & "grimsley" --> instant-hate-and-will-never-use. Especially Grimsley.


I actually had this funny thought once that Renbu would be romanised into "Renberg" or something. Marshal sounds like an air traffic controller, lol
 
Marshal sounds good for Renbu because he's fighting type, and Marshal Arts have to do with fighting, so yeah.
 
I think he was just trying to day that "marshal" arts could have been a Nintenpun, that's all. The names are ok, don't have the force of older ones but they work.
 
These names sound more like puns then other Elite Four names. Most names are normal names we would actually hear in real life (Aaron, Cynthia, Bruno, etc.)
 
Maybe not everyday, but a student in my trig. class is name Bruno. I was kind of going along the lines of names you would actually hear, at least once or twice. What kind of modern day parent would name their child Grimsley???

I dunno... it depends where you live I guess. Lorelei in G1 marked the first time in my life I ever saw that name. Same for Shuantal and Grimsley here... I actually had to google it to confirm that they were actual names that really exist.
 
I'm definately liking the puns behind Marshal and Shauntal, but Grimsley is a little on the lamER side.
@Xierh, I've heard the name Shauntel, so I assume it's a differently spelled version of that.
 
Grimsley kind of reminds me of Harry Potter. What has Nintendo done? They have totally ran out of names for the Elite Four. Just saying that is my opinion.
