ORAS Emerald Dilemma

Keep in mind that this thread is about the Emerald plot in ORAS. If you wish to discuss the New 3DS, new games, or other remakes, you can create a new thread for it.

I'm working on creating a different thread from the posts here. I'll update this with links once I'm done.

Well hackers have textdumped the demo and we're finding out a lot of things about the game now (you can find it here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/12206225/pporg/a073.txt). No Juan, no Trainer Hill, no Mirage Tower, no Desert Underpass. And as for the Battle Frontier?

It's been replaced by a new area called the Battle Resort and seems to have a completely new set of Brains named Lao, Kelvin, Carnation, Josephine, and Felix. The old Brains are nowhere to be found.

It's like Emerald never even existed to them.

EDIT:

It seems as though the 5 trainers that I thought were Battle Resort heads are just random trainers.
 
If Im not mistaken anything related to the Batlle Resort is missing in the data. For example all the hundreds of trainers that are used for tower, maison and facilities like that, are otehrwise in a separate batch with suffixes indicating that role. Not to mention there is no individual facility location markers, just the single "Battle Resort" itself.

So either the demo was made out of an earlier build of ORAS or they deliberately stripped it of things they wouldn't want hackers to spoil.
I believe it's actually both.
It's an old version because there is some duplicate TM/move-tutors (Dark Pulse, Sleep Talk), and it's a stripped version because Id think they already had the battle-model for Soopa Doopa Hoopa if they had any at all, and they likely just forgot to take the other one out.

Well regardless I think it's a pretty good sign that the Frontier isn't returning, I don't think they'd go through the trouble of creating an entirely new battling area if it wasn't meant to be the Frontier's replacement.
 
If the Frontier isn't back in all of it's Emerald Glory, or replaced with something just as expansive and fully-fleshed out, I'm passing up on the games. I can hold out. There really is NO reason for them to remove it. Then again, there was also no reason to remove trainer customization. And there's no reason that X/Y can't get an optional compatibility patch for OR/AS Mega Stones.

There is also the chance that the 'Battle Resort' is just the name the Battle Tower replacement is going by, (ie. Battle Maison, Battle Subway) and they just renamed it to misguide people into thinking a true Frontier would be in the games.

But yeah, as said above, if the Frontier or a worthy replacement isn't in these games, I'll skip these ones and wait for one that does have it. I'm sick of GF's stupid logic and the consequences it has for their games, and the fact that every game in a generation has to be deliberately incomplete until the last one.
