Empoleon/Terrakion (BW-on)

Pokemon

4-1-4 Empoleon
3 Terrakion
3 Emolga
1 Mew EX

Trainers

4 Communication
2 Rescue Scarf
3 Max Potion
2 Energy Retrieval
3 Exp Share
4 Rare Candy
2 Random Receiver
4 Juniper
2 Cheren
4 N
2 Switch
3 Catcher

Energy

3 Water
4 Fighting
3 WFLM Blend

So, you try to get out as many Empoleons as possible, with a Terrakion or two for revenge kills and electric and dark decks. I feel Emolga is better than level ball because you get a gurenteed two basics, and you don't have to hope to draw into multiple cards. Mew EX is in there as a Mewtwo counter, though I know there will be less of him going around, I think I might be able to do some tricks with blend energy to play off the opponents side of the field. I also have Energy Retrieval to play off Max Potion. I also really dislike Juniper in a stage 2 deck, so if anyone has a suitable replacement that doesn't completely shatter my consistency I would be grateful.

Blend Energy WLFM – Special Energy

This card provides 1 [C] Energy. As long as this card is attached to a Pokemon, it provides either [W], [L], [F], or [M] Energy, but only 1 Energy at a time.

Rescue Scarf – Item

Pokemon Tool: Attach a Pokemon Tool to one of your Pokemon to use it. You can only attach 1 card to 1 Pokemon, and it remains attached.

If the Pokemon that this card is attached to is Knocked Out by damage from an attack, put that Pokemon back into your hand. (Discard all cards attached to that Pokemon.)

You can use any number of Goods cards during your turn.

Mew-EX – Psychic – HP120
Basic Pokemon

Ability: Versatile
This Pokemon can use the attacks of all Pokemon in play as its own. (You still need the necessary Energy to use each attack.)

[P] Replace: Choose as many Energy cards attached to your Pokemon as you like, then reattach them to your Pokemon in any way you like.

I get the fact that Emolga is a bench filler / sitter, but with Catcher being a staple in EVERY deck, I really don't see a need for 3 of them.

-3 Emolga (Explained above)
-3 Blend Energy (This is gonna kill when someone drops Enhanced Hammer on you)
=6

+1 Mew EX (Can do some damage when you absolutely need it, and it's a great bench sitter)
+ 3 Water Energy (This can help with consistency, and makes Enhanced Hammer worthless)
+2 Fighting Energy (^)

Blend Energy is actually a good play in here, even if they do play Enhanced Hammer. The ability to make it work for either of your attackers is a good opportunity to pass up.

I'd probably drop the Bianca for Cheren, trying to fit in 4.

Rescue Scarf might make for a good idea, but with you being able to draw through your deck quickly, I think super rod might be better just because you don't want to have to worry about EXP Share and Rescue Scarf clashing for tool space.

Personally, I think Virizion is the better starting basic than Emolga, and instead I would play Level Balls and Ultra Balls.

I'd probably also drop the energy retrieval as well.

I think I'll stick with Emolga, its mostly a personal preference.
I'll stick with Blend Energy, for reasons explained by JimboJumbo.
Cheren probably is better over-all than Bianca, since I usually have a pretty big hand.
Rescue Scarf is a very good card, though less so since I have such a low Prinplup count, so I might want to boost that up, with Junk Arm going away with re-usable Rare Candies.

Also, Mew EX is so fragial that I will almost never want to have one on my bench, and it will be the pop Mewtwo counter, since most decks will run 1, with a maximum of 2, and Mew will handle the charged one, and if he is KO'ed, then Empoleon can handle the other Mewtwo fairly well.
