Empty Pack Wrappers and Boxes: Keep or Throw Away / Recycle?

I keep most of my packs that I don't completely destroy. Sometimes if I'm sending stuff or trading with friends, I'll tape an old pack around a toploader just cause it looks cool. (And I have no other use for the packs anyway)

I've always wondered, are the wrappers recyclable? And if so, what would they be considered? Plastic?

I will often times keep a few packs well preserved. You can carefully open them at the top or bottom and they will look sealed at a slight distance. Afterward I take out the cards (of course) and with the empty pack I will reuse it later to make my own custom pack. They make great gifts to customers and family and people tend to go nuts when it is a particularly rare pack (e.g. just recently I gave out a bunch of 1st ED E5 packs with BW/XY cards inside).

Well im glad theres people here i can just send my empty pack wrappers and boxs to :)

I do not think so. They are aluminized plastic like food packaging.

Potato chips bags, as example, are made of Mylar, a plastic film with a sort of metallic ink. Mylar is not recyclable. To make the difference, scrunch the item, and if it springs back, it’s NOT aluminum
