Yeah, I recall facing a deck like that on PTCGO when Boundaries Crossed was the newest set. It used Jellicent with Bellossom. My ZekEels deck got destroyed. A deck like that could work even better now that we have Beartic FF to work with. Maybe throw in a couple of toads to stop switching shennigans and we might have something.

Forgot about float stone. Banette would be a good choice there.
 
I've missed Zangoose so much. Gonna buy all of this that I can just so I can get my hands on his ... so ... coat ... precious!!!

Also, Forretress. Anyway, the deck (or at least my version) doesn't have room for Toad... although its good in theory.
 
Funny that, while the original MagmaVSAqua set was the first to introduce almost all cards with CG artwork, this one is the first in a long time to have exclusively traditional art.

You've got it backwards; look at how the text makes googly eyes on Matt via the "p" and "o". That took some skill! ;)

In all seriousness, I love this new set conceptually - the Trainers aren't horrible (not as good as the Plasma support, though) and Team Aqua's Kyogre makes me really happy.
 
Kind of bummed that the scans aren't all up yet; guess I'm just spoiled by PokéBeach being so fast and am underestimating how difficult it is to accomplish; being a "mini-set" probably doesn't make it that much easier. I mean if this was after its official release it'd probably be a simpler matter.

Mostly it's because the set isn't officially out yet, so only a handful of people have access to them, and WPM's reliant on those few people to provide them. As we get closer and closer to release, more people will get them, but it's still a week away.

Yeah, so what I was thinking. Can you blame me for being anxious though? I really want English scans before I write up a Top 5 list. Until then... more XY: Primal Clash CotDs. :p
 
Ever since th first scans popped up, I've been scouring stores trying to find some blister packs. No luck so far. I kinda gave up and settled for waiting. Though, I did manage to finally find a couple of Dittochu blisters!

This set really brings me back. I loved the original Magma vs Aqua set. The only thing that I was kinda bummed about was that there is no Houndour/Houndoom or Electrike/Manectric. It seemed like those two evos kinda made the set really stand out. But, whatever. There's still some awesome looking Mightyenas and those full arts??? Oh man, I can't wait to get my hand on them, Groudon especially!!
 
The art on these cards is absolutely on-point! Definitely want to collect them. Wouldn't mind playing some casual games using just these Pokémon too (a pair of decks for Team Magma vs Team Aqua games), they look pretty fun. I also want to try out the double aqua/magma energies with some of the stronger Pokémon (Groudon/Kyogre, Walrein, Aggron). Do the full-arts have the texture on them?
 
I'm sure I've said it before, but I absolutely adore the art on the full-art Groudon and Kyogre EXs. I want to get at least one of each, just for the sake of putting them in my binder with all my other pretty but useless competitively cards.

Also, that Muk. e-e run magma grunt, run...
 
I got 4 of the 4 packs the other day. 2 for me and 2 for my fiancee, we pulled 2 of the Magmas Groudon EX as well as 2 of the aquas Kyogre EX.
 
Still waiting for these to come out where I live. Unfortunately, it usually takes a while here, so I will probably end up buying them online. I adore the art! I really hope I am able to pull both Kyogre and Groudon.
 
I pulled 4 of the magmas groudon ex out of 4 blisters lol not on kyogre though!!! 2 of them came in one blister alone.
I like how easy they made the full arts to pull!!!

Dang, that's awesome! I bought 2 blisters the other night and got one Magma's Groudon, and I thought that was lucky! :p
I feel like the seemingly enhanced odds of getting an EX come from the small size of the set. Then again, that can also result in getting five Grimers in eight boosters... @.@
 
So what are the confirmed pull rates for this set? I have 4 blister packs coming my way thru ebay. :)
