English Kyurem-EX, Both Entei from 'Ancient Origins'

Lysandre's sticking around for another year!
Also, Steaming Mad and Full Retalitation? Why are these names instead of Thrash and Counterattack? Steaming Mad? It's going to take me a day and three yogurts to get over this:p

lol Lysandre, seriously?

Ancient Origins really wants take Flashfire's place as my least favorite XY set, I guess.

If all the cards are already translated and printed, why on the freaking Earth don't they release TGC sets simultaneously in Jap/USA/Europe??? I'm really disappointed.

Pokemon is all about transmedia and marketing. The TCG sets promote the other aspects of the franchise. For example, the Hoopa movie will be released in Japan next month, hence Bandit Ring focusing on Hoopa. America has to take time to dub the Hoopa movie, so the set meant to advertise it (Ancient Origins) won't be released until around the time the Hoopa movie will premiere here. If they were to release the set here in America at the same time as Japan, the marketing potential would be lost. This is why in the old days, whole sets would be reordered in America (like EX Legend Maker being between two Delta sets) so that the release of the set would coincide with the release of the movie it was meant to promote (Lucario and the Mystery of Mew).

Also, we've known for almost 15 years that sets are printed months and months in advance and probably planned more than a year in advance. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they've already sent the XY BREAK set to the printers.

Well, the marketing thing (about this set and a few others) sounds right, yes :)

I can see Energy Recycler being good in Gardevoir decks...
Just bought a Gardevoir deck today, I got so hyped when I saw this card. I end up running out of energy fast in my deck, this card would really help.

On the other hand, that Gyrados could be a monster, hitting 250 with 20 damage on three benched karp and 2 muscle band. For just a dice

Wouldn't even be that hard to set up if you had a Team Magma's Secret Base out. Just place the Magikarp on your bench and BOOM another 60 damage for Gyrados. I plan on making a Gyrados deck next set for fun, (may even throw in M TTar since he would benefit from Team Magma's Secret Base as well.)

Oh sweet! Lysandre gets a re-print. Its good to know that Lysandre will still be in the format 2-3 years from now, even after Furious fists gets rotated in the distant future.

When I first saw it in the thumbnail on water pokemon masters tweet thing, i thought it was Lysandre's trump card of all things, and was like. "Why reprint a banned card." LOL. I'm glad it was just the normal Lysandre.

That energy recycle will definitely help M-Sceptile decks, if they become popular. It would allow for retreating without wasting every energy and burning out.

It should allow for more paid retreating in general since float stone and Darkrai is gone. However, there are only still a few popular decks that rely on energy being left in the deck nowadays.

My big question is why this leaker is only uploading the really big cards like Trainers and Holos. He obviously has more than that, so is he just trying to be sneaky about it by slowly building up hype?

Well, based on what the leaker has released thus far, we know 99% of the cards that are going to be in the set. The 1 card we don't know about is spot #98 in the full arts (best potential inclusion is Steven FA). So until we see that leak, nothing coming out of these leaks is really surprising anymore since we have seen Energy Recycler and Lysandre, which represent the only new cards that we are getting in this set that Bandit Ring didn't have.

LOL... Why the hell did they put a Lysandre reprint?! you have 3 spots (which could be a lot more) to fill with unreleased japanese cards and instead you put a reprint of a card not even at risk of being rotated this year in it?
But it's even worse, you put it to replace a card from the actual japanese set, where the f did Level Ball go?
Judging by the early leak, they planned this set in a rush, which also explains why there aren't many extra cards...
I've said this more than once but I'll say it again: Whoever is in charge of the english sets' planning should be fired, because this is ridiculous...

Level Ball is still in the set, calm down. It comes before Lucky Helmet and after Hex Maniac, we just haven't seen it from the leaker yet but it is 95% confirmed.

Yeah, never mind, I was looking at Bulbapedia's set list and didn't notice the 2 spaces they didn't fill in...

My main point still stands, though, why putting a Lysandre reprint (or even just add 3 extra cards), when there are still so many japanese cards (specially promos) that would fit well in the set??
I don't know what TPCi is going to do with the XY Break block in the west, but if it isn't that much different from this block, then I guess the next set will be another leviathan of set like Primal Clash. I mean, there's Togekiss & Emboar-EX deck, Golduck Break + Palkia-EX deck, Raichu & Noivern Break packs, promos from Japan... Some of these cards (mainly the Emboar/Togekiss deck and some promos; the Break products wouldn't make sense) should have been included in this set, so that the next one doesn't become so clunky... This is assuming they even want to release those cards in the west, of course...

They want to balance out the Lysandre spectrum since they just got rid of one.

Not sure why Rescue was changed to Bail Out, Assassin's Claw to unseen Claw makes sense because it's OMG TOO VIOLENT FOR THE KIDDIES
sir, the word "Assassin"is too deadly to heard, especially on young people who play this game. . they put unseen,so it may hears like a "stealthy" thing.
