Card of the Day: Ether
55.jpg

Ether – Trainer
Item

Reveal the top card of your deck. If it’s a basic Energy card, attach it to one of your Pokemon. If it isn’t, return it to the top of your deck.

You can use any number of Item cards during your turn.

Sorry about getting this up so late guys, I haven't had much internet access this weekend.

It really doesn't help anything without something like Slowking. The only deck that maybe runs Pokedex is Rayquaza, but it doesn't even need Ether. Other than that, it's just chance, and in decks with 10-14 energies, odds aren't that great.

Or Terrakion EX variants. They would incorporate Pokedex in as well.
Not saying I like this card. Frankly, I think its overrated garbage. The chance of getting the energy is unlikely, and to have a better chance you need another trainer for support.

I think, however this:
Quad Heatmor/Ether/52 Energy is such a trolol

Heatmor - Fire - HP90
Basic Pokemon

[R] Luring Flame: Choose 1 of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon and switch it with the Defending Pokemon. The new Defending Pokemon is now Burned.
[R][R][R] Licking Fire: 50x damage. Discard the top 4 cards of your deck. This attack does 50 damage times the number of Fire Energy discarded.

Weakness: Water (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

Sorta. Pokedex AND ether in Rayeels is like Research Record in CaKE. Extremely helpful, but optional. I think it not worth it....

Unless its in RayQuadza :p
And yes. That heatmor. Is BDIF. It helps Durant though lol.

OMG Best Pre Release Deck for Plasma Gale here we come!1/2 Heatmor,2 maybe random, rest fire.

Super Energy Acceleration for everyone GOOOO!!!

Now EVERY deck can accelerate Energy! Combo this with Pokedex, and suddenly, Mewtwo EX can donk a few more evolving basics, Terrakion gets turn 1 Retaliate, Terrakion EX gets Turn 2 Rock Tumble, Rayquaza EX can use its Dragon Burst sooner (forgot the name of the attack, actually. I'll edit it. The one that discards all {L} or {R} Energy and does 60 damage for each one). Entei EX gets Grand Flame sooner, and more and more and more!!

Really, this card's actually quite good! Yeah you'll sacrifice some slots for Pokedex and a little more Energy, but I think its worth
hitting your foe harder and winning faster! Heh.

I'd give it a 4/5 for playability.

I'll admit though, I'll test it out more practically when its released to see if it lives up to the hype.

This needs Super Rod, that is a trolol.

It doesn't need Super Rod. Its needs moar Juniper.

Card is overhyped for being universal energy accel. I doubt it will be as good as it sounds, 2 different trainers for a chance at getting a basic energy, while all the top tier decks have energy accel anyway (or don't need it). One could say that the reason there aren't other top tier decks without nrg accel is because they don't have any and this will help them, but honestly it just decreases consistency to have to run this and its not that great anyway.

I've been testing a 2 Pokedex, 2 Ether engine in my Terrakion EX/Ladorus EX/Bouffalant deck, and it's good, but it's got one major flaw, getting them both in hand. When I get them both, I get energy, or I move an Ether up first, then get the energy next turn if no N are played, but N hurt this system, and unless I Juniper/Cheren, I don't have them both. That being said, I have gotten Bouffalant attacking T1 a few times, and some T2 Pump-Up Smash's. I don't really go for Landorus EX's second attack early, though I did Donk a RayBoar deck using it, but it's possible to get it. Reliability is at 6:10 for me.
