Guiding questions:
1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
5. How's the artwork?

Posts MUST be several sentences long with proper grammar and spelling or they will be deleted - this forum is to discuss specific cards so other people can learn about their potential in the current metagame.

1. On it's own, it really can't be a dec, because it's a trainer. :p It's definitely worth being played in most decks today.

2. Gyarados, Yanmega, Machamp... the list goes on. Pretty much anything that won't get OHKO'd while E-belt is attatched.

3. Well... the extra damage provides for a lot of extra kills on things. Fore example, normaly Gyarados hits for 90 with Tail Revenge, but with Exper tBelt, it hits for 110, which OHKO's most SP Pokemon, and leaves Machamp and Dialga G LV. X with only 10 or 20 HP (which can be turned into KO's with Crobat G's.

4. 9/10. This card is worth it in most decks, but not quite everything. Stay away from it with low-HP decks, otherwise you should be fine.

5. the artwork is pretty good IMO. I like how the background color blends together. :)

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
Card is definitely worth being played. one of the best tools out there and is a staple in almost any deck thats not an SP deck or a trainer lock deck. Not very good on its own because it needs a pokemon with it :p
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
Just about any deck thats not SP or trainer lock. Regigigas, donphan, etc.
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
Any pokemon really, gives the pokemon that extra damage needed for a knockout, or the extra hp needed to survive. Basically makes any pokemon a lot better.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
5/5 One of the best tools in the format today.
5. How's the artwork?
Eh, not bad. Looks like the belt is going to attack though haha.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
I think this is a good card, that if used properly, is awesome. It does have potential, though on it's own, it is just junk that poltergeist loves. You should play it.
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
All except LuxChomp and BlazeChomp.
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
Any pokemon to boost its power and HP. With it you can make magic SP numbers appear.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
4 stars. LuxChomp can get an extra prize if a weak card on the bench has it attached.
5. How's the artwork?
2/5. Could be better.
Third

1. This is a great card that is a necessity in almost every deck in the format. It can recover a Pokemon when it's at it's worst, and can load up attacks for tanks. Most definitely worth being played.

2. It's a need for DialgaChomp, used in Gyarados, Machamp, etc.

3. Expert Belt+DSG is pretty good. But basically with most Pokemon.

4. With out a doubt, 5\5. Great tech, amazing tool, I love it.

5. Really like the artwork, really adds an intimidating effect with the belt in a "Bring it on!" kinda position. The contrast in the background is very nice :)

Ah, the Expert Belt.

I stopped playing the card game before this card was made, but back then I already had an idea of a card that does an all round upgrade and a two prize card penalty. If I remember correctly, I called that idea the Cursed Energy.

Since I never got to use this card, I can't give any in depth analysing. However, basing on the guiding questions, I believe this card is going to stand on its own very well, especially with those decks that rely heavily on Pokemon Tools, like my old Delta deck. If they stop banning cards from the past, Quagsire Delta would work pretty well with it. Alas, in the current metagame, it wouldn't stand a chance. ):

Out of 5 marks, I'd definitely give it a 5. There's no reason for it to be bad except for the prize card penalty, but hey, high risk, high return!

The artwork is great! Big contrast and vivid colours makes the item itself look intimidating. The tight crop also makes it feel as if it were going to bounce out. If it were holo and the belt actually extends out of the frame a bit, then it'd be perfect.

1. It's worth being played, since leaving an opponent with 10 or 20 HP is never fun. Often times it will be the difference between a win and a loss. However, it clearly doesn't stand on its own: "I'm going to make a deck based around... Expert Belt!"
2. Most metagame decks. Gyara, Machamp, Donphan...
3. Not really any 'combos,' per se, but it works with most decks.
4. 4/5. What can I say? It's a good card.
5. Eh, it's sort of mediocre. It looks like the E-Belt is about to attack by itself, and the colors don't really work too well. I don't get why there's an explosion in the background...
Does anyone else think this card sort of 'ex'-es a Pokémon? Pokémon ex give 2 prizes, and looking back, if they had had 20 less HP and their attacks did 20 less, it would have been just as good as a normal card.

1. It doesn't really work on its own. It's a Tool, so it needs a Pokemon, but it's definitely worth being played. Any deck that runs Stage 2 Pokemon can use this. Even some that run high HP Stage 1's. Heck, I can't think of many decks at all that can't use this card. I guess Vilegar doesn't have much need for it. And most SP decks don't run it (although I think they probably should).
2. Umm... probably any of them. Gyarados, Machamp, Donphan... etc.
3. Any Pokemon with high HP and attacks that damage to the active.
4. 4.5/5 - It's overall a really good card.
5. Not bad, not great. 3/5

1. It's horrible on its own, cause it's a trainer.
2. Most all, but don't play in SP, because Machamp will draw the second prize.So will Mewtwo.
3. Charizard, Donphan, Machamp, goes on for high HP peeps.
4.4.99/5. Good card, 'cept for the next prize card.
5. 1/2=2.5/5. I personally don't like the colors in the back round.

Well, everything has been said.

Anyway, I use Mismagius GL Lv.X in my deck to take out the disadvandage of Expert Belt, which makes my pokemon really powerful. I know what you are going to say:"Uh, Energy gain in a SP deck, not expert belt, and plus, sp has low hp..." Well, my deck does not only include SPs. Plus, no power spray.

2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?

Anything that has incredible HP or something that is undead (almost, like cursegar, which switch to the bench each time). Exemple, Steelix, Kindra, Scizor, metal pokemon, Tyranitar, donphan (meh)...

4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).

Good, very good, 9/10 because sometimes, VS sps, your pokemon with expert belt is weak and then, you retreat. Guess what, Luxray Bright look or Dragon rush.

5. How's the artwork?

Pretty nice. I prefer the League one.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
it's amazing and i don't know of anyone who doesn't use it with at least 3-4 in their decks
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
ANYTHING!!!!!
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
i use it in my blastoise-feraligatr (prime)-politoed but pretty much anything
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
4.5 stars, cause it's just that good....
5. How's the artwork?

(Just in case you missed it before)

4 stars. LuxChomp can get an extra prize if a weak card on the bench has it attached.
5. How's the artwork?
2/5. Could be better.

1. Because it is a trainer and cannot battle, it is useless on it's own.
2. I cannot say, because I don't play in the metagame. :(
3. It could be useful with Gyarados' Tail Revenge, letting it knock out most unevolving basic Pokemon, Or in a Gengar Prime deck, where 60 damage from Cursed Droplets can knock out most evolving basic Pokemon.
4. I'd give it a 4/5. Allowing the opponent to take an extra prize is a large sacrifice if it faints, but that can be remedied with Palkia Dialga Legend's Time Control Attack.
5. 3/5. I like the detail of the wear and tear on the black belt, but the bright background draws attention from the main figure. (The Black Belt.)

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
*Can't be played alone, it's a trainer.
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
*I bet almost everyone in the world runs this card.
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
*Hmmm well it combos with any attack really, but Luxray (Arceus) uses this card greatly, if you don'e want 2 prizes taken and I think there is also a promo Raichu like it.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
*Of course the extra prize is taken but that's why this card needs to be wisely used, and even though this draw back I still give it a 5 out of 5.
5. How's the artwork?
* pretty cool, it looks like it's fighting you. hmmmm 4.5 out of 5

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
* It is great on it's own, but it is a trainer. Good. Definatly worth being played in most Decks nowadays.
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
* LuxChomp, DialgaChomp, Machamp, VileGar (Maybe), ect.
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
You can knock the opponent's Active out more quickly, and be knocked out yourself slower.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
* I would give it a 3/5 because of the opponent taking an extra Prize.
5. How's the artwork?
* 4/5. It looks like it is fighting you which the card insists.

1. A staple of many decks. It is really good. Very risky, but ultimately worth the risk for more HP and Attack.
2. Almost all.
3. Too many to count. One in particular would Raichu Lv X, doing much more damage with 2 attacks.
4. 5/5 This card is a needed staples that define the format.
5. I find the art to be somewhat unappealing to me, IMO.

5. How's the artwork?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Ebelt is a very good card but has a draw back that could hinder you more then anything, losing two prize's lowers the amount of card's playable per game, let's say you have 3 ebelt and you put them on 3 pokemon all your opponent would have to do is tko all three for the win, on the other hand the +20 hp and attack does come in handy alot of the time.
2. Pretty much everything from luxchomp to vilegar.
3. Combo's, this card can be added into pretty much every atk strategy in the game.
4. 3/5 It's not that needed, you can tech in black belt and attack for more (everyone doesn't always use there supporter's every turn, and by the time your attacking you should have an additional line setup just in case).
5. 1/5, it's basic cg.
1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
Well, it cant stand on its own. Its great, and is very helpful in donk/tank decks.
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
Almost every deck, but mainly tank decks.
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
Junk arm to retrieve it from the discard? IDK.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
4/5, only because of how your opponent gets to draw 2 prizes after.
5. How's the artwork
Its a trainer... 2/5
1. Can be played in most decks. I use it in a Tangrowth deck ATM. That extra boost helps aslong as someone doesnt use weaknesses to take two prizes
2.Again same as #1 Useable is any deck that doesnt have any pokes with low HP. (the low hp will screw you over in the long run)
3. Quicker KO's and that health boost grows in numbers. (3 Pokes with e-belt.... not much of a chance except for weaknesses). Anything though that helps with tanking.
4.4/5 I love the card.... minus that extra Prize
5. 5/5 I love just how 3d it looks. The backgrounds blend too.
1. Possibly one the best Tools of the Format. When used in the hand of a really skilled player, This card can help win the game. It's one of these cards that takes skill to use. Slapping it on any Pokemon can put you at risk of losing. At the right turn it can the decisive blow. Best used on High HP Pokemon or to win.
2. This is a deck staple it is included in almost every deck.
3. Luxray's (from Arceus) Gadget Bolt to do 120 and eliminating the 2 prize drawback.
4. 5/5 As stated before this is a card that is easy to use but hard to master. I really love these kinds of cards. It seperates the players from the masters. Cards like these deserve to be reprinted and used for generations as those deserve their place in the metagame.
5. The belt looks really weird.
