Would a heads on fainting spell knock out both pokemon or just the pokemon that attacked gengar?

Heads on Fainting Spell means both pokemon are Knocked Out.

Please include a reference to the card(s) in question.

To add, gengar has to be knocked from damage from an attack for fainting spell to even activate. So gengar is knocked out no matter what.
