The voting for the names and dex entries of our first Fakemon line (decided in the previous vote) has now begun! You can find this thread by clicking here.
---
Hi guys, and welcome to the second Fakemon competition! Once every month, we will be holding a tournament where people design a Pokemon based on certain restrictions. The winners entry will be added to a collective Fakedex. The aim here to eventually create an entirely new set of a 101 Pokemon.
Please note that absolutely anyone can join this. You don't have to sign up or anything. Just browsing our forums and want to participate? Then all you have to do is make an account and post your Fakemon. : )
For those who joined in last time, the rules have changed slightly so I suggest you check them out.
Requirements for your entry:
1) You must draw every single Pokemon asked for in the evolution line
2) For now, we only want pictures of the Fakemon, not their names or Pokedex entries (these will be decided in a seperate vote). You can include concept art and perhaps information on how your Fakemon acts in the wild, but I insist that you don't post actual dex entries: you will be wasting your time.
3) Try and get the highest quality picture you can! Stuff of low quality might be rejected in the voting process.
4) Although any kind of artistic medium is allowed (pencil, computer, paint, etc), your entry must be in colour.
5) Your entry must abide by the criteria given for each tournament, which will be given at the end of this post.
Other Rules
1) If you want to use any of the entries for your own projects (like a fan game or something), then you must ask the artist for permission.
2) Do not steal art from others and claim it as your own. So help me God, if I catch anyone doing this, I'll ban you from this competition and possibly the entire forum.
3) Standard forum rules apply as usual. That includes the rules we have that are exclusive to fan creations.
So in other words, don't be a jerk and you should be fine. 8D
Voting
So, how is the winner determined? This will be based on a public vote, where the entry with the most votes is crowned as the winner. The voting period will start in roughly three weeks time, when the submission period is over. I will go into further detail about the voting process when the time comes.
Competing
Ok, now that all the rules and stuff are out of the way, let me finally explain what this months Fakemon will be based on!
This time it's bugs! I want you to design a split bug type evolution line, as follows: Bug/??? -> Bug/??? or Bug/???, where the dual type can be anything you want. For example, Bug/Poison -> Bug/Psychic or Bug/Fire.
If you are wondering what a split evolution line is, think Snorunt evolving into either Glalie or Froslass.
You may use any kind of concept you can think of. It could be based on a bug already existing in nature, or something entirely made up.
The submission period for your entries begins now, and ends on the 16th of August. Good luck to all participants!
