I just use Photoshop CS4, and draw it with a Drawing Tablet, I found a couple Tutorials on making things look sugimori online, and went from there.
Well, I don't care if I'm "wasting my time" by posting more than just the pictures, since I made the other information, anyways. 
So... Here's my entry:

But, I have to ask, what do you use to color in your drawings? When I use gimp/paint, I can use the bucket fill but that doesn't add the shading =\
Also, what type of bug is the binky one? (btw idk if a binky is a toy, I thought it was something to keep babies quiet and give them something to suck on)

Excellent entry yet again Xous. I have to say though, I do have a small qualm. The first two in the line do look a lot like Kricketune line. I'm sorry, but creativity is a huge factor in these types of competitions. I know you won't be changing it, but maybe a tip for the next time.

Okay, Ive got a new idea for part of my entry; A wasp based pokemon only made of ice. Bug/Ice type. ^_^
I suppose it will look similar to a beedrill, but only way cooler. And like I said, made of ice.

I'm entering. My campaign is to make a cool CICADA(yes, Cicada!) Pokemon.
Here's current idea.
Larval stage, burrows underground. The result of its evolution depends on its average heat level. If it is surrounded by hot Pokemon, locales, etc, Then it will evolve into a lava based bug, 'from the planet's core'. If it is kept cool, it will become its 'normal' Bug/Steel stage, a heavy HP and Defense Bug Tank.
Oh and the other catch ois that they won't evolve for a long, long time. I'm thinking level 40.
