Janine is Koga's daughter, she replaces him in Gold/Silver/Crystal, something like how Juan replaced Wallace in Emerald.

Well, Wallace was Juan's Apprentice or student. So, momentarily, when Wallace had Potential to join the Elte Four, Juan took over the Gym
