The title explains it all. Feel free to tell us some of your favorite Poems, Novels, Biographies, Comic Books, Graphic novels, whatever.

My favorite book ever is probably "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. I personally find it very inspiring, but even if I didn't I would be wowed by the original story, great, real characters, and excellent writing.

I loved the first volume of "Akira" but haven't been able to read the other five, I'll have to get on that (even though the movie suuuuuuucked).

"The Amazing Spider-Man" is my favorite comic, Peter Parker is the best superhero of all time as far as I'm concerned, due to his very real ability to connect with the reader. As opposed to say, Superman, who is essentially a god, Batman, who is a billionaire, or Thor, who is actually a god. Peter Parker is just a guy who happens to have superpowers, and he's the origin of every crappy Nick show about a kid balancing his superpowers with his real life.

My least favorite book is "The Mysterious Case of the Dog in the Nighttime." God I hated that book.

I looked Francis Chan up, Crazy Love seems like an interesting read, although I didn't find much of a description of the book itself. If you don't mind, can you tell me some of the specific themes the book covers? "My Relationship to God" seems a bit broad.

He touches on a bit of what each chapter is about.

His books don't have a plot. It's more of a lesson of sorts and each chapter is about a different topic, but it all deals with the love of God.
He has 2 other books, one about the Holy Spirit and another about Hell.

Sounds interesting, I'll definitely check those out!

Also, 6-D, Spider-Man is my favorite comic series as well. The original series was just too good, and the characters are still some of my favorites to this day. It's the reason I hold the many Spider-Man movies and games to such a high standard.

My favorite Non-Fiction is probably... Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard. It's a CRAZY book. But cool.

I also like Freakonomics - Steven D. Levitt & Stephen J. Dubner & also Outliers - Malcolm Gladwell if you want to read some really, really interesting text on social norms.

I love Gladwell! Outliers might be my favourite work of his too. Wasn't the chapter on Asian culture and mathematics fascinating?

I have never grown out of the Guardians of Ga'Hoole series. I heard of a sequel series, but it's about wolves instead. Pahhhh...

Best sci-fi series for me is Age of Fire by E. E. Knight.

Absolutely. I the whole concept of the "10,000-Hour Rule" is incredible. Including all of the individual examples.

If you have never read Freakonomics, I suggest you get a copy. Its a very similar book to Outliers.

John Flanagan, David Eddings, E.E Knight, Tom Clancy, Erin Hunter. Nuff said.

I suppose Manga counts as a comic, although if you're going to post that, it might as well be in the Anime/Manga thread.

I'm with ya man! I loved the series when I was bit younger, but I never bothered seeing the movie or anything of that nature, since I knew Hollywood would ruin it, as they do with every book-to-movie concept.

I'm a huge Rick Riordan fan but I also love the Harry Potter series, The Immortal Nicholas Flammel series, the Fablehaven series, and 39 Clues series just to name a few.
