Through the changes of the metagame, we have seen the "evolution" of Pokemon and the attacks these Pokemon get. Thanks to the distribution of these moves, we can create a variety of rolls our Pokemon can fill. Do you have a certain moveset you really like using? Well post it here. They can be standard play or custom, even a moveset from a past generation! The only three requirements are
1.) That your sets must be viable in the tier your Pokemon pertains to, this means no sets that have no competitive value or have an obscure niche within its tier.
2.) You must also state what tier your Pokemon/moveset are intended for.
3.) You must explain what your set does

I'll start off:
Tier: OU

Heatran @ Leftovers
EVs: 244 HP / 36 SpA / 12 SpD / 216 Spe
Calm Nature
- Torment
- Substitute
- Protect
- Lava Plume

This is an infamous set from the DP era that frustrates any unprepared soul. The concept is to come in on something weak, force a switch, and during the opponent's switch use Torment. Regardless use Torment first because Heatran usually forces a counter in. You use Protect to block the one SE move the opponent usually carries, and thus allows you to bypass certain threats.

Tier: OU

Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
- Protect

The standard specially defensive Heatran that everyone loves to hate. With this variation, it can set Stealth Rock, cripple potential switch-ins with Toxic or Lava Plume burns and counter a vast number of OU threats like Latios lacking Surf, Talonflame, Charizard-Y lacking Focus Blast, Thundurus-I, Scizor without Superpower... the list goes on. I have used it in many of my teams as a hazard setter and special sponge, and I've never been disappointed.

And now for something different...

Tier: Uber

Arceus @ Lum Berry
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Extreme Speed
- Earthquake
- Shadow Claw

Extreme Killer Arceus is the staple sweeper in all of my Ubers teams (bar the most recent one where I play Arceus-Water, but that's a wholly different story). There are many varieties of the EKiller set, but this one is my favorite. It lacks the power of the Life Orb sets and the speed of the Jolly sets, but has two important perks. First, I do not have to worry about Life Orb damage, while Adamant nature still provides a lot of power. Secondly, I have many more targets to set up on. Pokemon which often have nothing else to do than fire a T-Wave, WoW or Toxic against Arceus become unitentional setup fodder thanks to Lum Berry giving me a free turn. On the coverage side, I chose Shadow Claw over Shadow Force because I simply do not trust the latter's charging turn, and Earthquake over Overheat, giving me a bit more trouble on the Ferrothorn/Scizor side but allowing me to get past Dialga and still hurting Aegislash without fear of King's Shield. Extreme Killer Arceus is an amazing Pokemon, and I feel this set is the one that suits me the most.

Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet, meant for VGC 14 and Battle Spot Singles (and Doubles)
Iron Barbs
(don't remember spread but it had max defense)
Relaxed Nature (0 Speed IVs)
- Gyro Ball
- Power Whip
- Leech Seed
- Protect

Super annoying to Kangaskhans. Its most common counter is Talonflame, and that takes massive recoil damage after a Flare Blitz to Ferrothorn. It creates a win condition because it is hard for most things to deal with it. Leech Seed + Protect is annoying to deal with as well. It's attack stat isn't too shabby either, and it can OHKO some faries and deal heavy damage to Rotom-W.

OU Singles

Rotom-W @Choice Scarf
252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Timid, levitate
Trick
Hydro pump
Volt switch
Thunderbolt

With stall teams being so present in OU..trick rotoms really mess up a stall team's core such as a quaqsire, sylveons, and especially eviolite users like chansey who get lured right in. With the combination of trick locking a stealth rocks lead or something, and volt switch, rotom can give immidiant momentum at the start of a match while severally crippling teams, he can be a real pain and very good pivot for any team. This also helps late game on pokemon with alot of coverage preventing them from sweeping as well as stops setup moves.

This set can work with any EV spread, however without speed investment rotom won't be able to outspeed greninja and u-turn talonflames even when scarfed.

This next one is mostly just for surprise factor but doesn't do much significant..
Volcarona @Focus Sash
4 Hp, 252 SpA, 252 Spe
Timid, Swarm (HA)
Fiery Dance
Quiver Dance
Hidden power Rock
Bug Buzz

With swarm he gets a life orb boost to his bug buzz when in sash range. Hidden power rock lures talonflames and charizards, and in talonflame's case, gives you a free quiver dance while they switch in and bring you to swarm range as you go for the HP rock.

It's more of a surprise set, but it does wonders when it succeeds. Chansey, heatran, and blissey still will always ruin volcarona. Replace HP rock for ground if you hate heatran but they just brings two more threats in the name of talonflame and charizard.

Tier: DPP OU

jirachi.gif

gamercal (Jirachi) @Occa/Shuca Berry
Trait: Serene Grace
76 HP/252 SpAtk/180 Spe
Modest nature
~Calm Mind
~Psychic
~Thunderbolt/Grass Knot
~Hidden Power Ground/Fire

"Superachi" was always a well-known threat in DPP, but I liked this little spin that old member PDC likes to use. You run just enough speed to get by whatever you want to get by. (This specific spread lets you outrun max speed neutral base 90 pokemon like Adamant Lucario as well as Max Speed Timid Heatran. If you want, you can put in a little more to get by max speed Timid base 80s like Dragonite.) max out the Special Attack with a Modest nature to hit really hard, and then the rest in HP to do bulk.

Instead of using Leftovers, I like to use a super effective berry, because of how easy it becomes to lure things out. For example, Occa Berry lets you survive and then troll a Heatran with HP Ground, while Shuca lets you get random things with Ground moves, like Flygon or Tyranitar. Aside from this, it works just like offensive CM Suicune does. Set up a CM boost and then just do a lot of damage, it works pretty well as long as you avoid Blissey. (Which is why you usually use this along something like SD Lucario or Scizor, so that you get a setup opportunity either way.)

Arcanine @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Morning Sun
- Extreme Speed
- Flare Blitz
- Will-O-Wisp

Defensive Arcanine is intended for UU, OU, and VG play. My people think of Arcanine as a offensive power house in UU but if you correctly can be a extremely vital pivot point for any team. Unprepared teams will easy be dismantled by him and will find it hard to KO. This set was mainly used when Mega Mawile was running wild, Arcanine resists both STABS, has Intimidate an WoW. I still use it as a pivot has teams don't expect it to be such a bulking Pokemon.

I'll share a few sets I've made.
Tier: BW OU (Fairies nerfed mah move :()

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 180 Def / 72 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Thunder Wave
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Stone Edge

The whole premise of this set is to come in on something and Sub up. Since TTar tends to be a magnet for faster, more offensive Pokemon, Thunder Wave tends to be the next move, either that or Focus Punch. Even Skarmory can't wall this set, unless Whirlwind is used first turn. Stone Edge hits everything else Focus Punch can't.

Tier: OU

Dusclops (M) @ Eviolite
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Seismic Toss
- Rest
- Infestation
- Will-O-Wisp / Toxic

I've used this Pokemon on a few teams, and for as absurd as Dusclops looks, he has the stats to be an amazing mixed wall/killer. Infestation is what makes this set, trapping any unfortunate soul, and doling out 1/8 of the opponent's HP as a bonus to the burn/poison damage. Seismic Toss works extremely well because I don't have to worry about attack investment or anything, so regardless of burns Dusclops will always take a nice 25% of the opponents health, and with the extra residual damage, takes out opposing Pokemon before Infestation ends. WoW and Toxic are up to the player, I personally use WoW because it lets Dusclops tank physical hits way better, including Pursuit and Crunch. Toxic however, racks up more damage over time, and is nice against Talonflame and Blissey/Chansey.

Oh, I'd love to share this one!

Tier: UU or OU

Nagisa (Empoleon) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 Def / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
- Flash Cannon
- Hydro Pump
- Yawn
- Aqua Ring

I specifically designed this Empoleon to be a sort of wall. The only things I have had some trouble with were fighting moves really; maybe an occasional Earthquake. But really, where it shines is getting double healing from Aqua Ring and Leftovers. Essentially, starting with a Yawn to either force a switch or sleep then Aqua Ring. Afterwards, bombarding with either Flash Cannon or Hydro Pump. Been surprisingly effective.
