Pokemon Ferret or Dog

Well according to the Pokedex, Cyndaquil is classified as a "Mouse" Pokemon. Quilava and Typhlosion on the other hand are "Volcano Pokemon". In my Opinion they look Ferret like due to the shape of their bodies.
 
I always thought they were like hedgehogs... The flames instead of spikes though.
 
Cyndaquil is like a porcupine, Quilava looks like a weasel, and Typhlosion seems to be meercat. hehe i dont really know. I guess they're like a mixture of all animals ( including ferret ):D
 
Well,if it is between dog and ferret,then ferret wins handsdown.I don't think it looks like either as much as other animals though.:)
 
Cyndaquil is a mouse, Quilava is possibly a ferret, and Typhlosion is just a huge fiery thing based on no animal in particular (or a very large, demented ferret).
 
I thought Cynadaguil was a porcupine and Quilava and typhlosian look like ferrets
 
Echidnas kind of sounds right, but I don't know. I always thought that they were Weasels.

Also, what in the world is Meganium? All the other grass starters are some sort of animal, but what about Meganium? (Venusaur is a tree/dinosaur:::Sceptile is a Gecko/Lizard:::Torterra is a tortoise)
 
No, they are echidnas. Look at Emerald if you dont believe me. When you complete the Hoenn Dex, Birch gives you a choice of the 3 Johto starters. If you pick Cyndaquil, Birch says: Cyndaquil, the Fire Echidna or something like that anyway.
