USA tied, i really wanted them to win, but w/ a draw that's good too, considering ESPN ranke UK -3 and US-15.
Both goals in this game were luck IMO but hey they played a good game.

Yeah, the Brits are gonna kill that goalie for missing that shot...geez! At the World Cup!? That's terrible. I feel sorry for that dude.

The goalie appeared to try and cradle the ball into his body. It looked like it maybe bounced off his knee, or off the ground and then off his body, because it took a really lucky bounce for us. I'd rather take a tie than a loss.

When I watched the game yesterday I really expected England to win, but I wanted USA. Honestly I think England played a lot better than the US, but US still played well. That lucky goal was fail. I was like "nah the goalie got the ba-LOL HAHAHA". I still feel sorry for him. They're going to like...make fail videos of him. ;'[

There was no luck involved in the England v USA game. England's goal was well played (I don't know how you can even say it was "luck"), USA's goal was just disgraceful goalkeeping. Anyone could have saved that shot, it was going at like 2mph. I've always said to play Hart over Green and that's why.

I agree. There was absolutely no luck in England's goal. USA's goal was luck. The goaly could've saved it.

Heskey was trying to pass it out to the far right, miss-kicked, and luckily Gerrad was their to make up for it. Hence, rather lucky.

Is anyone else surprised that North Korea is in the World Cup this year? They haven't been in it since... 1960-something but oh well. Gonna have to wake up early to catch Japan cream some Cameroonian butt.

I am amazed that you think that was an error. It seemed pretty obvious it was going to Gerrard. Dont really see anyone else to get to the ball if Hesky did want to hit it to the far right, which I am certain he didnt.

I really didn't want Germany to win, but I think unless Australia picks up their game, Germany has won. In all fairness though, Germany has been playing great. Australia is going to have a hard time TRYING to get back in the game.

Germany is a historic soccer power. Australia is decent, but decency vs. history never goes decency's way all the time.

Haha, great start for Germany. I didn't get to watch the match, but I lol'd when I found out the score.

Am I the only one amused by Slovenia being at the top of Group C?
