First “Prismatic Evolutions” English Card Reveal: Palafin ex!

The first English card has been revealed from our Prismatic Evolutions set — Palafin ex!
It’s #151/131. Unfortunately, its numbering does not tell us too much about the set list yet.

Prismatic Evolutions will release on January 17th. It will be a special set based on Japan’s special Terastal Festival ex and some cards from ex Starter Deck Generations.

132 will be Larry, the 12 trainers takes us too 143, then there is 7 sars before palafin based off TS. This means no illustration rares in English set.
 
The frontrunners for Journey Together are of Unovan and Alolan descent, so we can scratch 5 and 7 off. Gen 3 and 8 are also cut and presumably 2 due to the starter decks and the April set probably focusing on TR members from Gen 2.

Only 2 IRs would be insane. They would end like the 3 Shiny IRs in paldean fates. But besides the IRs it will be interesting which cards will be in it. At justinbasil Palafin should have been 147, so what additional 4 cards will be in?
 
131 in the main set, so roughly 56 uncommon/common/ex/ace specs are cut from our english set.
These 56 does not include the SR/SIR/Hyper as they go beyond the 131 numbering.

Out of those 56:
- 2 are ace specs
- 10 are regular ex/Tera exes

So meaning 44 common/uncommon/holo rare cards are also getting cut from the english set, which means, these 44 cards will not be getting the pokeball/masterball reverses.

Previously, we know 9 of those 44 are eeveelution cards, so this could possibly mean we are not seeing pokeball/masterball versions of those eeveelution cards, since they do not have a physical numbering in the main set.

Hot take, but I have been personally saying, those 9 eeveelution pokeball/masterballs could very well be the promos for the super premium collection coming out in May 2025.

As for the sweet eevee SIR, ppl been saying it's cut is because is for the super premium collection, but I will go a different route and say it will appear in the figure collection coming in September instead, and the figure would very well be the exact representation of the card.

Just my own personal theory, as it does not make sense to have the pokeball/masterball in the main set and then have the normal versions of them as promos.

131 - 6 (Ace specs) - 25 (exes) = 100
So only 100 pokeball cards to collect, masterball TBC, as the trainer/supporter cards does not have masterball versions as seen in the Japanese set.

Yes. JustinBasil's list only acknowledges the new cards from Terastal Festival and the Genrations decks which only add up to 127, when we know that there are 131 cards. But the fact is that likely not all those cards will even be in it, and the set will likely feature a lot of reprints like Paldean Fates.

That's not how it works. Whatever cards they decide to reprint in our set have no relation to the cards reprinted in Terastal Festival.

Yes, I understand.

I am openly speculating that we are not going to see the 9 eeveelutions as pokeball/masterball in Prismatic Evolutions for us to pull.

Rather, they will be appearing as promos in the super premium collection (Hot take)

Am not saying this is true. Just my speculations and stating my reasoning for that speculations.
