How does this interact with HCTR? Are your new prize cards face up? Are the ones you shuffled in face up? Or do they negate each other?

HCTR! is a town map for both sides. But it's a supporter, which can be more easily scooped back into hand from discard(VS Seeker). Regular Town Map plus Rotom Dex is a combo that won't work more than once, and since the result is face-down prizes again, that's where HCTR comes in: Revealing your prizes for a second time in one game, vs. Town Map plus Rotom Dex, which unless you have a way to get it out of discard(a feat that, in standard, is almost impossible to pull off due to the fact that very few cards are still in rotation that can get the town map out of discard to get Town Map back into your pool of playable cards and reveal your prizes a second time to check and see if you re-prized your critical cards: Bunnelby PRC, Malamar AOR, among other cards, albeit severely limited in terms of possible cards that can scoop from discard in standard), you might have to guess which prize contains a critical card in case it is prized a second time...

Rotom Dex doesn't work well with Here Comes Team Rocket in short:

First you use a supporter to check your price cards, however your opponent now also has their price cards faced up...
Then you shuffle your price cards back with Rotom Dex to replace them with faced down price cards...
Then you use Here Comes Team Rocket again to check out your price cards...

Use a single item instead. You need supporters for more important stuff.

Wait... Does Toxapex work with Switch or Escape Rope? I don't think it does...

Plus it doesn't work when something dies and something new comes up.

Looks like they tried too hard to make this thing not OP...

DANG the energy cost ruins these cards if venoshock was one Psychic energy it might have seen play and in expanded you could troll with a poison deck. And bruxish second attack was one colorless. It might have been good.

retreat is a specific game action while switch/escape rope are cards, so if the translation is correct it would only work on when they retreat and not switch/rope. still we can lysandre up stuff and make your opponent decide if its better to retreat and have their new active poisoned or leave whats lysandred to be koed or used as a delay.

attack wise toxapex is ok 2-3 energy for 50/100 is ok for a stage 1, combine with ariados and chaos tower for consistency.

bruxish... not very good would have been ok if second attack was dce able like toxapex.

I wonder if you can play a switching pokemon. After the attack, or by ability like Haluchawa, you force your opponent to switch. Once the new pokemon comes up it would be poison. Sometimes though, you don't want your opponent to switch. Unless, switching isn't considered retreating, which means you would have lysandre up a pokemon with a float stone on the opponents board to force them to retreat next round. Either way they are awkward plays unless your playing with Siesmitoad and virbank city. Forcing your opponent to retreat via Keldeo while under item lock while doing poison dmge because of virbank would be annoying.
The new active pokemon would take 30 dmg if they couldn't knock out virbank. And Toxapex reads in play so does not have to be in the active to work.

Siesmitoad might get stronger with this pokemon.

The rotom card will be good in decks that are reliant on the DCE to fall. With a quick ultraball, you will realize you prized 2 or 3 DCE's and want to play this card at start of game. For end game, if you play a single lysandre and Ultraball and realize it's prized you will dig for rotom to get Lysandre back in your deck. For mid game, if you ultraball and realize your playing a lock deck and your Hex or ranger is prized you will dig for this card.

There are so many matchups that decks auto loose to because the card they need is prized. Especially in standard. I can see this being ran as a one off, but nothing more.

Toxapek on the bench, Toxicroak in the active. Match made in heaven?
This is what I was thinking... the Croagunk and Toxicroak both benefit from this.

Additionally, the Malamar/Slowking mill deck might benefit from having the ability to do damage as well.

Cool, you got all your DCE back, but now you have none of your main attackers to attach them to because they're all prized.

This is a unique card. Has synergy with M Pidgeot-EX for sure as a good way to punish them for using Float Stone.

My Evaluations
  • Toxapex - Sir WPM, how did you know about this and Necrozma before? Wait, are you a #LeakSquad member before? Move on, this card is so, so good. Pairing with Ariados + Chaos Tower (Anti-Poison Side), this could be a toxic pain. (Focusing on Venoshock) In some decks, maybe Toxicroak.
  • Bruxish - I already said it before. The first attack is vulnerable to N.

Solgaleo's Energy acceleration makes Max Elixir look like a manual attachment, geez oh man. Get your Talonflame now, because this is insane.

Wow, these cards look okay at best. Will have to wait and see how they work with a format where Evolution is the norm.
