Five New EX Boxes in the Fall!

Oh boy, more Charizard and Mewtwo cards. Just what we don't need.
The Gengar one is cool, given the upcoming release of the shiny Mega Gengar over here,
Neutral on the Dragonite and Kangaskhan ones though.
 
On one hand I am absolutely sick of Gen I with the way TPCi treats it like the only gen that exists... but I loooove Dragonite, so I can't complain too much here. Boo Charizard and Mewtwo, but I'm all up for my favorite dragon getting some love.

Well, Furious Fists just recently rotated out of the standard format. That gives it reason to be reprinted. But it's likely a Furious Fists reprint, seeing as a Dragonite wasn't in the Base Set. The same goes for Gengar and Kangaskhan.

Evolutions isn't meant to be a reprint of base set it's a reprint of classic era so Base Set, Jungle and Fossil are all fair game.
 
So wait, how can we confirm for sure that we are getting five new EX boxes this fall? What are Andrew's sources from?
 
Are they seriously true? Oh boy, I don't know what I am going to react with these! Since those 5 have figures, more figures in the background in some YouTubers that I know. One question, are they still count as XY Promos, I hope they won't exceed 177 since Champions Festival is XY176

Rather annoyingly also, no pokemon from Ancient Origins had recieved its own collection/ box and Mega Latios undeservedly recieved that honor.

Maybe Dragonite and Kangaskhan are exempt to some degree, Charizard and Mewtwo's overpopularity still deserve no respect for overtaking other pokemon's potential. Raichu EX should had been over Charizard EX (since we don't know what exact Raichu card we will be getting at this moment in Evolutions, imagine if it was Dark Raichu reprinted lol) and Alakazam EX deserved it over more than Mewtwo could ever imagine...
 
More gen 1 stuff? I'm pretty sure everyone's getting tired of it. I thought Generations and Evolutions are for this. Don't get me wrong, I love these mons but do we need more Charizard or Mewtwo? How about we give some love to the underrated gens? (Like gen 5.)

Mega Latios can have it's own collection/box when Mega Latias actually, you know, gets released. Not saying it doesn't deserve the honor but where's the love for Latias and Mega Latias?

I actually would prefer that Dark Raichu not be the redone one in Evolutions myself. Still, yes we don't need another Charizard or Mewtwo (getting one anyway along with Mew). I personally am not convinced Alakazam EX would be a better alternative but I guess it's a moot point anyway.

Don't confuse ALL of Gen 1 with Charizard and Mewtwo. Many Gen 1 Pokemon are still waiting for more love.

It's true that some Gen 1 Pokemon are overshadowed, but most of them still get far more love than anything that came after. Plus, all of the Pokemon in these boxes have been in earlier sets. Gen 1 is the main focus of several sets already, why not instead of using that space to shove in more Charizards we print Mega Pidgeot and Mega Pinsir?

I would be surprised if they printed a card in a product besides the Battle Arena Decks that's not standard legal. They'll most likely be either new cards or alternate art promos. These also might be EXs in the next set for Evolutions.

That will mean doing what the players want but we all know that Gen 1 Pokemon only consisted of like 5 Pokemon.
 
How about instead of the n-teenth reprint of Charizard EX, they reprint a Shaymin EX (Set up). Let's make the game more accessible to people. Do they even care? It seems they like having a $70 card that is a must have.

I agree about the Shaymin EX but it won't happen.
