Been testing out a Swampert EX deck but I can't get it to be completely consistent, here's my list:

Pokemon: 11
  • 4 Swampert EX
  • 4 Regice (AOR)
  • 2 Lugia EX (AOR)
  • 1 Greninja EX
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums: 30
  • 4 Dive Ball
  • 2 Ultra Ball
  • 3 Trainers' Mail
  • 3 VS Seeker
  • 2 Roller Skates
  • 2 Paint Roller
  • 3 Maintenance
  • 2 Professor Sycamore
  • 4 Shauna
  • 2 Lysandre
  • 3 Tierno
  • 1 Xerosic
  • 1 Ace Trainer
  • 1 Hex Maniac
  • 4 Rough Seas
Energy: 14
  • 10 Water Energy
  • 4 Double Colorless Energy
Empty Slots: 2

Strategy:

Focus on using Swampert's Mud Flood T2 for a possible KO, increase chances of revealing water energy by recycling water energies back using Shauna/Maintenance and have draw supporters/items (Roller Skates, Prof. Sycamore, Paint Roller, Tierno) to get Double Colourless or other needed cards. Lugia as a backup, Greninja to snipe at the bench and Regice against EXs to much for the others to handle effectively.

The problem I have with this deck is that when I use Mud Flood, I tend to get 1 or 2 Water Energy so I need help to maximise the damage output or if I should build the deck focused on Greninja EX?

I played a deck like this for fun a while ago. My build used Battle Compressors, Maintenance (for shuffling in Water), Trainer's Mail, all sorts of drawing cards to discard the stuff I don't want and thin the deck down so that it's mostly just Water energy. I think you could get rid of the Tiernos, Roller Skates, Paint Roller, and maybe 1 of the Rough Seas to make room. I would also run 4 Sycamore and 2 Shauna.

I played a 2-2 line of Sparkling Ripples Milotic to grab stuff out of the discard, like a Battle Compressor to mill more cards. Because of the heavy item lines in this deck, it also lends itself to Archie's Ace in the Hole, so I played one of those with a Swampert AT - that's really good, because if you really need to you can stack a Water energy on top of the deck with its ability, getting you a guaranteed 80 damage with Swampert-EX. I think Regice is a bit too energy-greedy to be paired with Swampert, as they both require 3 Energy, but if it works for you, I would cut them down to 2.

If you've go some Shaymin, they help, but it's understandable if not. Maybe try out Octillery from the new set, since you're using Dive Balls?

Thanks for the tips, I have to try them out and see if it makes a difference, for the better. I do see the concept of increasing the chances by milling the deck, and I like it.
Sadly, I don't have Shaymin so that's out of the question but I could get Octillery.
