Does anyone else have any fond memories of any pokemon games?
Red/Blue: I got them on launch day 1998, but for some reason couldn't play them until Halloween, some arrangement with my mom. So like instead of going trick or treating that year, I just played the game nonstop and couldn't put it down! I replayed Red the most for years and years after that. Way too many memories to name! I still play it to this day!
Gold/Silver: Another launch day game that I played from day one. I brought Gold with me EVERYWHERE including class field trips in the fall. And ah, long nights playing from after school to bedtime, skipping homework, getting all misty eyed over the music, strolling around national park, catching Pokemon at night, turning on the in game radio while riiding around. This was my best Pokemon experience overall, even more then Red since I only played it once but it took me like 2 years and I caught all 249 in game Pokemon! (only missing mew and celebi) Then I got even MORE gameplay when Pokemon Stadium 2 came out, since it was vastly superior to Stadium 1.
Ruby/Sapphire: I was out of school now, so I had even more time to play this game. I loved the music and the brand new areas, decorating my hideouts, finally getting to choose a female character, and playing the game for long periods of times while watching Cheers and other Nick at Nite sitcoms during the boring parts like leveling up and trying to encounter rare pokemon! And I played this during the spring so it was a change of pace from the past 2 fall playthroughs.
