Ruling Fossil Ditto and Lv.X : two questions

I have a Fossil Ditto (Transform)with Double Colorless and Expert Belt in play. My opponent has an Uxie in play with an Expert Belt and two Recycle Energy. My Ditto currently has 80 damage on it and is poisoned. I have an Uxie Lv.X in my hand.

My first question is this: Ditto's Transform states, " If Ditto is your Active Pokemon, treat it as if it were the same card as the Defending Pokemon, including type, Hit Points, Weakness, and so on, except Ditto can't evolve, always has this Pokemon Power, and you may treat any energy attached to Ditto as Energy of any type. Ditto isn't a copy of any other Pokemon while Ditto is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed." Does Transform allow me to Level Up Ditto, because it is treated as an Uxie, or does the Lv.X function around the actual NAME of the card? This leads to my second question, does Transform effect the name of Ditto, or is it always just Ditto?

Relevant card scans are beneath the cut.

I would say that Ditto can level up into Uxie LV.X, as it is treated as if it were Uxie.

HA! Found something!
The answer is no you cannot:

Q. If Ditto is opposite a Brock's Ninetales which has used Shapeshift to turn into Clefable, is Ditto a Clefable or a Brock's Ninetales? Some people claim that Ditto opposite Brock's Ninetales is to be treated as the Ninetales regardless of whether an evolution card is attached to it or not. Others say that it is to be treated as the attached evolution card. Which way is correct?
A. Here's the deal with Ditto and Brock's Ninetales: When Ditto is opposite Brock's Ninetales and Brock's Ninetales has a Pokemon attached to it (that it has Shapeshifted into) Ditto _only_ copies the Brock's Ninetales, _not_ the Pokemon that it has Shapeshifted into. It is to be treated as Brock's Ninetales, not the attached evolution. (Oct 19, 2000 WotC Chat, Q62; Nov 2, 2000 WotC Chat Announcements; Sep 20, 2001 WotC Chat, Q78)
[Ed Note: The reason that Ditto is Brock's Ninetales and not the Pokemon Brock's Ninetales is being treated as is because Ditto's transform says to copy the "card" of the Active Pokemon, not the "Active PokÈmon"

I have bolded the relevant portion of that ruling. Simply stated, Ditto does not copy the Pokemon's name. Therefore, you can't level it up.

Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for.

I had a feeling that was the root of the whole question, so that's specifically what I was looking around for to find :p
