Friend Help

I ordered some yu-gi-oh cards online, resulting in a powerful Yu-gi-oh card deck, and duelled my friend with them. My friend, because I had such a good deck, lost. He then proceeded to sulk for the rest of the day, saying how he will sell his deck cheap on ebay. That day was ruined. He came the next day. Now I usually beat him because he isn't very good at the game, so he sulks for the rest of the day, but this time, he came the next day and continued to sulk, responding to a challenge by saying, "I would just lose anyway." He still didn't let it go!! I need help with this problem. I'm not the kind of person that just stops being his friend and finds some new ones. Also, my mother's strategies never work with him, and I am NOT a socialite. I really need help!

Well, for one, I don't see why your friend takes it too hard. But, besides that, don't play a good deck, try a fun deck. Maybe it gives your friend a better chance, and he won't mind losing like that.

I do!! My deck is good compared to his!!

Make a deck that is not "good" compared to his or help him improve his deck.

If that fails you should probably just not play yu-gi-oh with him.

There is a lady at our Pokemon league who uses a theme deck most of the time incase of the same problem. There are a bunch of little kids there, tough. If there are any Yu-gi-oh theme decks (I don't play so I don't know) I'd get that.

When I played little kids with Scizor I would just use Cherrim to attack. : P

Wow, your friend is kinda harsh. Try playing him with video games so each person has equal deck chances.

Just let him win once, so he will be able to say that at least he beat you once. He just has low Self-esteem, just try and boost him up every once in a while, and don't constantly duel him, take a break, don't do it everyday.

That could work, or it may make it worse. If you beat him, he'll most likely know you let him win, then he'll feel embaressesd that you noticed him being sad, and did something about it.

He's not really like that. He lost, and doesn't want to play anymore. I'm starting to avoid him, because he ruins the fun things now (Yu-gi-oh cards, video games, etc) and every time I see him, I don't feel like he likes me any more.

Edit: He doesn't ever feel embarrassed. He is very rude and violent.

eh, teach him pokemon or yeah just talk to him NOT ON THE PHONE like at your house with a witness incase he get violent...

Make him win, then he will like you :3. Also just remember the good times and say "You don't want a bunch of stupid cards to be in the way oif our friend-ship, do you?"

I have the same prob with my bro
I'd say if you want to practice Yu-Gi-Oh then play one of the vidio games, if you want to become friends with him again just never talk about Yu-Gi-Oh and you'll be fine. :D
