Front page articles?

I've been looking through the forums and obviously cant seem to be finding information about these(mods move this if you need).

How does one get an article onto the front page? I would like to post an article(maybe even one similar to my states article last year, check link in sig) on the front page, but am wondering how that gets done/where I post it.

I feel that the articles on the front page are...interesting(to say the least), and would like to add/debate what they have stated.

Thanks!

Go to this forum to submit articles to the front page. Or you could always PM me or any other TCG mod to submit one.

If I may ask, in what way do you find the articles on the front page to be "interesting"?

These types of comments bother me more than asking for decklists. If you're going to say stuff like that, at least explain it. There's nothing stopping you from posting in the actual articles either. This is a much better option than making an entirely new article just to debate stuff in mine and Gale's. There's three pages of replies on mine, and we have/had a pretty good discussion going.

Just be aware that submitting an article does not mean the article will be put in the portal/front page. Ultimately, that is a decision for the moderators to make.

1) I am aware that it's up to the mods who decide if it gets front-paged or not. Some people recommended my other article for front page, but it was up to the mods to do that. It never happened, so lol I get how it gets there.

2) I just find people's opinion on this meta interesting. I personally despise this meta because it's even more stale than the "super stale" MD-on format, but it also lets a lot of people think outside the box. I just think it's interesting.

3) It's not just to debate, I'm not that bigga troll. I just mean like to offer my own personal view on the meta, so that when people read across the articles, they will see different peoples differing opinions.

That's totally fine. I'm not a huge fan of this meta either, which is why I tried to explore some new decks in my recent article.

Either way, different opinions are absolutely welcomed as far as article submissions go. I read your States article in your signature and thought it was very well-written, so I'm looking forward to your next submission.

I know how this meta has a very high bar on top decks, but the creative ones can actually get far unlike the "LuxChomp" format where it was really more stale and donk reliant. I actually like this meta better.

I agree with BC, because I play all rogue decks, and made top 8 in my regionals, losing because of a horrid start first game then getting down to one prize game two. In LuxChomp era, it took me all year to find a deck that 1: I liked 2: was good and 3: I made. This format it took me about 1 week to find 3 or so good decks. My dad just destored one of the top masters in my area useing one of said decks.

Overall I agree, this meta is much better than the SP dominated meta of the last two formats. What makes this format a little less rogue friendly can be summed in four words: lack of universal draw. Claydol and Uxie helped close the gap between archetypes and rogues by supplying a constant string of cards to increase consistency. Since SPs didn't use Claydol terribly much (much less so with Uxie), setup decks and rogue decks had a chance to tangle with the "big boys" and come out on top. When Claydol was rotated, SPs became dominating, and when built in draw became nonexistent as it has in this format, decks with consistency, speed, or built in draw became paramount. Rogue decks now tend to lack the quick killpower of dragons or are bogged down by long stage 2 evolutions without any built in draw support, and that is why rogue decks suffer in this format.

However, I think this format is better because there are more decks that are viable in the tier 1/1.5 spot. Rather than the SP dominating meta or a Sableye vs Spiritomb getup, this format has the dragons, megazone, stage 1s, and other options with Magneboar, Blastoise variants, Kyurem variants, and even stuff like Durant. There's a nice amount of variety.
