I've just gotten back into collecting (stopping after the original team rocket) and my packets Im opening have full holo versions of some cards that arn't suppossed to be holo, and even some * ratings that SHOULD be holo ARE but the whole card is not just the window like it should be.

Are these cards below fake or is that what they're like now, random full holos of whatever?

Thank you.

These are Reverse Holo. It's standard now that in each pack you get 1 Rare Holo, or 1 Rare and 1 Reverse Holo (which can be any card in the set apart from Primes and Legends and some secrets). So no they're not fake.

Thank you :) I didn't think they were I just thought I'd check. To discuss further, doesn't that seem a little annoying to collectors ? For example I have a * rating Meganium in reverse holo, but it'll stand out and look silly amongst the other cards that don't have this effect. I know, personally, i'll need to get all the cards without the reverse holo nonsense to feel like i've completed the set?

What do you think ? Has there been issues like this brought up before?

I'm the same as you - to complete a set, I need them all without Reverse Holos.
Personally, I hate the Reverse Holos. They just seem... pointless to me. Makes it harder for me to collect the sets. *sighs*

lol, epic pic of Meganium
Anyway, I personoly count a RH as part of the set, and count for my collection. Some people even collect the normal set and the RH set as well. (Just remember that Primes/Legends only come holo, Alph Lithograph only comes normal, and Shiny Pokemon only come RH)

If you don't really dig 'em (niether do I), sell them on Ebay for people that do, or trade them at League. I always keep mine handy to throw in as extras on trades.

The good thing is of course, if you are looking for a certain rare from a set, there's always a slight chance that you might get two rares, and if it's the card you need for your deck, you probably won't care if it's the reverse.

I hate these cards. It is such a cheap way for TPCI to make us collectors buy more stupid packs. And worse still you have the people that say oooooooo its a rev card of a playable card like DCE or Pokemon Collector and make that specific card super hard to get or expensive.
