Fusion game. who will champion? ROUND 1-2 not deducting points/elliminating for lateness!

so ive noticed that people who are labeled as judges have posted a few times showing preference towards specific entries. IMHO thats not very appropriate because the whole judging process should be done in private by the ones who were given the "judge" title. if you are just going to post which one you like the most then dont even bother PMing the scores. just post them as you come up with them. otherwise what is the point of trying to have an honest, fair competition?
I understand that you like the entries, but theres no reason to show any kinds of favoritism by posting about how much you like ONE persons entry. IMHO if you are going to post following each entry, just make it one thing you like about each entry, not that you think one entry will win everything.
I may be the only one willing to say it right now, or even the only one who even feels that way, but its hurtful to find out that I just put a lot of time and hard work into making a piece of art just to find out it was pointless.

I'm sorry professor but I don't think there has been any unfair displays of favoritism in comments, there's a difference between putting some sprites up than just politely and fairly complimenting all of the entries, which is what 6-dimension and I are doing. I'm sorry if the non-casual attitude of this thread is bothering you.

just when you say something like "this is the best sprite by far" about someone elses work it makes me feel like putting the effort into making a good sprite for a competition was pointless. I dont really like that feeling =\

That's part of the reason I quit the last contest (not VY's; I mean LJ's last one).
Either way, though, I'll be staying in this one as long as possible.

Listen, we told Freak his was the best so far because it was. That's not favoritism. We're saying, "hey contestants, this is what you will have to beat if you want to stay in this contest," not "you are cool so you win round." That's favoritism. Freak's was clean, looked put-together, and was a good idea. We've been giving you all positive feedback as well. So calm down, because nothing wrong is happening in this contest. At all.

I guess you are right. There's nothing I can really do about it, anyway, plus I agree that his is awesome. (I could quit, but I'm not that immature). I will definitely try harder in the future (if I can get a good spriting program ._.)

Uhm...I got a serious question. How much scratch spriting is allowed? I am still sticking to my group but the main body shape required some scratch added on, and a good chunk of it. This basically looks like a whole new Pokemon as of now. :x

Hypno + Magmar + Electabuzz
As Squirtli shall know, I have a very creative mindset and when I cound out what I could do for this I picked my Pokemon carefully. I love this dude, so small and deadly, yet creative. :>

I will explain it the same way I made this for Squirtli's contest:
I simply used the Free Select tool to cut out the needed shapes from Electabuzz, and Magmar, and then took Hypno's "Tick-Tock" thing and added a glow around out. This enabled me to have a little Diamond, which i then added parts from Electabuzz and Magmar till I got the right size of diamond I wanted. After this I simply eliminated all the shading/coloring from the shape, and recolored it to the pattern I had there. It was a lot more complicated then it sounds, but it's hard to explain.
