On windows vista on your desktop there is an bit at the side with gadgets such as; digital clock, map and news.I have seen my friend change what they loook like and i can't do it can someone help me?

In the top right corner of your screen, there should be a little bar. Here is where you can add different gadgets.

Once you have added a gadget, you can make changes to it by hovering your mouse over the gadget. A little bar should appear to the side of the gadget.
To get rid of the gadget, click on the "X" on the bar.
To make changes to the gadget, click on the spanner icon.

You'll get used to it in no time. =]

Cool piplup thanks a lot you really helped me make it a lot cooler :]. One problem though, when I add one it says a error has occured and below that says not connected can you or any one else please help me :(

Well, some on them require an internet connection if that helps.
Like, the weather gadget gets it's information from the web.

Oh, those gadgets...

I got rid of them as they aren't that useful =P

Do the gadgets tend to make your computer run slower? I didn't even know Vista users could add "gadgets" to their desktop. I don't seem to have a gadget tool bar or whatever on my desktop.

Depends what Gadgets you are using, and how many.

I mean. There shouldn't really be a noticeable difference, anywho. Especially if you're running at least 2 GB of Ram. (Which you should. If you use Vista.)
