Ruling Gallade EX (RoS) - Swift Lunge

If my opponent's Gallade Ex (R0S) uses swift lunge on my active Pokemon, who decides what is the new active Pokemon? Also, what will happen if Gallade's swift lunge knocks-out my Pokemon? Will my active Pokemon switch first then get knocked-out in the bench, or get knocked-out first then I choose my next active Pokemon?

Your opponent chooses which Pokemon s/he places in the active slot. All effects of attacks are resolved and damage is calculated before checking for KOs. As such, you choose which Pokemon you are going to send into the active, then the Pokemon that KOed gets knocked out on the bench.
