Gallade/Gardevoir

This is my first deck I'm making, its not meant to be anything really competitive but just a fun league deck for me to mess around with and get started with. I am also on a bit of a budget.
This is the updated version with all the advice I got there are still some other cards I would like to test e.g. Cresslia
Pokemon (18)
  • 4 ralts PLS
  • 1 kirlia PLS
  • 3 Gardevoir NXD
  • 2 Gallade PLS
  • 3 Mewtwo-ex NXD
  • 1 Mr.Mime PLF
  • 2 Shaymin BCR or emolga DE (depending what's at my league)
  • 1 sigilyph PLF
  • 1 keldeo-ex BC
Trainers (31)
  • 4 N
  • 4 Professor Juniper
  • 4 Skyla
  • 3 Colress
  • 4 Rare candy
  • 3 Pokemon communication
  • 1 level ball
  • 2 pokemon catcher
  • 2 switch
  • 1 scramble switch
  • 1 super rod
  • 2 exp share
  • 1 float stone
Energy (11)
  • 4 double coloress energy
  • 7 psychic energy
Strategy
Gardevoir's ability turns 1 psychic energy into 2 on psychic pokemon. This speeds fueling Mewtwo and Gallade and boosts Gallade's Powerful Storm attack. Shaymin helps me get out my ralts or mewtwo out on the bench. Sigilyph walls opposing ex pokemon and helps boost powerful storm if it has energy on it. Keldeo does some float stone shenanigans healing shelling me heal status conditions. Mr.Mine prevents all my ralts or gardevoir from dying on the bench while Im trying to set up. Please do leave any tips or advice for this deck, like I said I am new to the pokemon tcg and could use all the help I can get :)

Oh, God, I can't believe someone else besides me actually plays this deck! n.n So happy right now!!! But anyways, I do have some feedback, but I'll certainly check carefully tomorrow, since taking advice from others that play the same really IS helpful. I'll keep in touch with you! ;)
Edit: But one thing is for sure: Victini, even though it accelerates energy, just slows down the set-up, as well as taking up space AS WELL as the Fire energies.

-2 Emolga Weak to Thundurus EX, one of the most played cards in the format.
+2 Shaymin BCR Not weak to Thundurus EX and does the same thing.

ok thank you very much for the tip, ill make the change

I use the same strategy in the TCGO game, gallade-gardevoir works like a charm, and if you do it right, gallade does crazy damage, though besides the ability, gardevoir is kinda useless; a shame, but previous gardevoirs compensate for that.
I'll tell you what I used, and leave to you the decision, it's not competitive, so you would want to use pokemon you like.

gardevoir: because she is awesome. and because psychic mirage, I guess.
gallade: powerful storm, but you already figured that one out.
meloetta: a quick attacker while I get a gardevoir or gallade ready, psychic is OK, but with gardevoir in the bench and two P, echoed voice is awesome.
cresselia EX: my mewtwo EX. heals between turns and needs two P (with gardie) to do 80 and lose her weakness. I reckon mewtwo works better in the overall strategy, though.
cinccino: between an awesome ability and echoed voice, acts as both a wall and as a heavy hitter, bitch-slapping anything in its path. Also, minccino has call for family, to get ralts, meloetta and cresselia when needed.
mismagius: this is the one with the energy trans power, from one of the HGSS sets. It's here for transferring energy when necessary (say you finally got a gallade and gardevoir active, you put gallade on front and transfer a idle energy from some other pokemon for more damage).
Lanturn prime: does 40 + 10 for each of your pokemon's energies, base damage 70, it's a very good attack, and it's affected by psychic mirage in your other psychic pokemon (say, with lanturn ready, and a loaded gardevoir in the bench, you practically win the game)

All those pokemon are favorites of mine, and that's the only reason I chose them, but they still work great together. I hope my advice helped.

Meloetta and cresslia sound interesting ill have to try them out. Unforunatly mincinno only allows to search for one basic pokemon while shaymin let's me get out two pokemon. Mismagius and lanturn sound awesome but I can't use them in modified format :/ if I ever play in unlimited though ill be sure to check them out. Thanks for your help!

-2 Emolga Weak to Thundurus EX, one of the most played cards in the format.
+2 Shaymin BCR Not weak to Thundurus EX and does the same thing.

But Emolga has free Retreat, letting you switch into a Gallade without wasting an energy on the field. But in that case, there's also Elgyem NVI 15, does the same, it's Psychic type, but 60HP. It's up to you, though.
Also, as I said before, Victini-EX and the fire energy are just messing with deck space.
-2 Victini-EX
-4 Fire Energy
+1 Keldeo-EX
+1 Float Stone(They help you get rid of status conditions and makes the Gothitelle matchup a little bit easier.
+2 Double Colorless Energy(Needed for a good start with a lone Mewtwo as well for attacking in case Gardevoir is gone.
+1 Sigilyph DRX(Helps to counter/stall the EXs.
+1 Kirlia PLS(You never know when your Candies are going to be prized or Item Locked)
-3 Ultra Ball
+3 Pokemon Communication(no discard, and since you have a lot of pokemon, really useful as long as they are not rotated)
-2 Energy Search(not really necessary)
+2 Exp. Share(always into Mewtwo, allowing the single energy a Gallade had to attack go back into Mewtwo, keeping the same damage output)
Now, here are two roads to take:
1.
-1 Mewtwo-EX
+1 Gallade(to make it your main attacker)
OR
2.
-1 Computer Search
+1 Scramble Switch(to switch from a damaged and charged up Mewtwo to a healthy uncharged one)
Hope I helped! :)

I will see if thundurus is a popular card in my league. Either way the one retreat clar isn't bad, I would have had to have energy on it for call for family but yeah I'll see what's popular in my league. Does the deck ever get walled by like a steel type or have trouble just running into a mewtwo? That's also why victini is there but you do know than me so yeah ill prolly take it out. Ohh about keldeo can I rush in and retreat with float stone during the same turn? Everything else makes sense to me ill prolly go with scramble switch just because mewtwo sounds more consistent and I can sit on it if I don't have my proper gardevoir or gallade set up. Thankss soo much for the help!!!!!

Victini EX and keldeo ex doesn't either, and cinccino is a great wall (I have stalled entire games while building gardevoirs and gallades in the bench) but, mewtwo ex could be more useful for him.
Plus here mewtwo EX and keldeo EX don't get cheaper than 160$, so there's that.

They're pretty cheap on Troll and Toad, so $160 is a gross overstatement of their prices.

Anyway, I gotta say, I want to play this deck a lot. One thing I might recommend is adding in something to take away your weakness to Psychic, like Plasma Frigate, because this thing just dies outright to Deoxys. Of course... That would mean something has to be taken out... I dunno. It's something to consider, especially since there is a prominent presence of Deoxys in this format.

Sadly there's no space in there... :/ The most you can do is tech a Cresselia-EX, but she will be the only one whose weakness is denied. But anyways this deck focuses on hitting hard and OHKO everything, so if something is a threat, just Catcher it and murder the guy, and if an attacker gets KO'ed, that's why you have others.

My best bet against deoxys is stalling with sigilyph and set up my gallade or mewtwo to OHKO. Maybe after I get all my cards and do some testing ill see if I can squeeze in another sigilyph or maybe a more offensive out towards deoxys. Like he said the deck is tight on space I could catcher it out, I'm only running 2 catcher due to my budget but i have 4 skyla to get them to my hand

Proxy(print) a Catcher in the meantime? In Bebe's Search you can make up to six in one page, just select them and choose "print" on your browser. If you don't want them to have "PROXY" no them, just(if using Chrome) right-click the word "PROXY", select "Inspect element"(something like that, I use it in Spanish... XD) and then, down on the code screen, right-click the highlighted line and select "Delete Node". That will take the word "PROXY" off of them.

Whereas this is a good plan, you have to keep in mind: Sigilyph can be catchered around. So, when you do something like this, you have to keep that in mind. Another thing you should keep in mind is Kyurem, as it can simply shatter your Sigilyph Wall and wail away at the rest of your Pokemon.

I actually might throw in one or two Cresselia EXs anyway. With their No Weakness attack and a Giant Cape/Eviolite, they OHKO a Deoxys and they cannot be revenge killed by Deoxys with a Laserbank. Plus, they make excellent energy banks for Gallade.

Another thing I might do is take out the Keldeo Float Stone engine. I mean, don't you think it is a bit excessive? I mean, you already run two switch; don't you think that bench spot is more worthy of a backup Gardevoir or Gallade? Some more food for thought you could make a stew with all of this food!.

Honestly as a newbie player I was just listening to someone who played the deck and put in the keldeo/float stone. XD Though I do like my line of gardevoir and gallade, I'd rather not have them clogging my hand. Ill see what happens through testing I mean I really don't have alot this cards on the list yet this is the first deck I'm making. Anyways ok ill take the keldeo and float stone and put the cresselia with a giant cape. I do want to run more than one cresselia and giant cape in case one gets prized, dies somehow, tool scrapper etc. what do you think i should take out then?

Ultra Ball is better than PokeCom for many reasons, most predominantly how you don't need to have another Pokemon in your hand to use it, so I would recommend switching the PokeComs for Ultra Balls.

Also, another Kirlia would be nice to help with evolution, but I dunno what to take out.

And, test on PlayTCG, not redshark :p
