Garchomp

So, following the news of the theme deck getting the bad Garchomp, pre-orders for the good one have jumped up to six dollars in two days and they're already sold out at that. We can expect it will be re-listed at 7 or 8 dollars next. I'm pretty sure it started at 3.99, but they only listed one copy (proud to say I bought it :p). They re-listed it with 8 copies at 5.99 and sold out in under 3 hours. How much do you guys think the card will end up being? How about similar hyped cards like Hydregion? Keep in mind that it's just a rare (and Hydregion will most likely be as well), but at the same time remember that Kyurem was steady at around $20 throughout Cities and Garchomp is arguably significantly more playable.

I think they'll end up being $15-$20 for prerelease prices, but then they'll drop down to $10 or so. I don't think they'll be as high as Kyurem because Kyurem is an overpowered basic and it's also a legendary.

Wait, WHAT!? No more good Garchomp in the theme decks!? Grrrrr....that's not cool. I think it'll level at around $12-15, but once it's hyped we'll see it at $20 tops.

The thing is good. It's really good. The question is not whether it will be a higher priced card (it will be) it is whether or not the price will lower if given time. If it does then the card will become more played, but if it does not then it will remain at the same level.

It's a great card, and the price will be high in the beginning, but once that's over then we can't predict where the price will go.

Wait, if the dragonblade Garchomp is the bad one, which one is the good one?
The theme deck has the dragonblade Garhomps artwork.

That was an error made on the part of the Pokémon guys. The images are incorrect for both theme decks.

This irritates me. now I'm gonna have to shell out like $30 for all the Garchomps I need, unless I pull some.

Ah, well this greatly benefits me. because I'm playing 'Quaza.

There's no reason to believe Garchomp and Hydreigon won't do good here as it did in Japan. I'm honestly expecting them between $10-$15. $20 is possible though.

What price range do you guys see Altaria in?

oh wow that sucks

looks like i'll have to preorder my hydreigons to get a good price then

I think the hype would keep the price up, so even pre-ordering could be expensive. I would trade for em at prereleases.

Up to $9.99 and they already sold out at that price. I think they re-listed earlier today.

My word I wanna' slap a Pokemon official right about now. /)_-

These things were going to be cheap, and Stage 2's would actually show up in abundance because they were like ZekEels, cheap and (hopefully) good. Then they pull the switcheroo. I can't be the only one who suspects that those weren't GOING to be placeholders until money value started to rise. Then again, I probably am and will be attacked for thinking that.

I don't think a $10-15 price tag will stop people from playing them. Also, Pokémon has been very against the secondary market making big money off their cards for awhile. When cards like Mewtwo get up to 70 dollars apiece and they need to be used in every deck, it's terrible for the game.
