And when did ash release charizard? He is back with proffesor oak I thought.

Charizard is just training with the other Charizards in Charific Valley. When Ash's Charizard battled one of the others, he lost. So Ash left him to train there.

Ash litteraly said Charizard was weak.

He said his strongest Pokémon was weak...that being the only reason why he left him behind...

Does that make ANY sense?

I don't think that Ash really wanted to leave Charizard behind.
Charizard was the one that wanted to stay at the valley. He even sat in water all night long to prove that he was good enough to get it.
At least Charizard is still shown every once and a while, unlike some of the other Pokemon that have been left. :p

Gary really should get in a movie or two, although I'd really like to see Richie in a movie too. I just love his pikachu :p

Gary's an old character. He didnt get a movie in the first season, so there's no way he's getting one now.

About the legendaries, catching one can't be that bad. A frontier brain has an Articuno, the other has the entire Regi trio, and a NURSE JOY has a Suicune.

Not to mention you can catch legendaries in the game without anything bad happening :D

Wow, you really don't get that the anime's version of the pokemon world and the game's version of the pokemon world are barely similar at all. The anime supports the theme of pokemon being equals to human's and friends. While you've never had any emotional conection to your in game pokemon ash see's his pokemon as friends and he loves them. You see pokemon as tools or basically weapons. The reason you think Gary is a better trainer is because you define a good trainer as merely one with the strongest pokemon, but both the game and the anime say you have to love your pokemon and trust them ( Gold and Silver ).

Also on the note of many anime's follow the main character gets stronger and stronger idea, none of those animes are any good. Like really, what are you talking about DBZ, Inuyasha, Naruto... those are all really bad :(.

Also the reason Ash almost always defeats Gary is because Ash knows his pokemon better, he knows their weaknesses and their strengths and plays them to his advantage.

@ChloeLuver3
Ash has defeated Gary only once if I remember correctly,...
and 1 more thing regarding DBZ, NAruto,... it's quite clear that you're a hardcore pokemon fan, and I cant allow you to say c.rap about other animes that Pokemon cant even compete with.

For instance:
DBZ: Main characther(Goku): was never the strongest person until the end probably, and he never won against some1 by pure luck(unlike Ash), he actually lost because opponents were lucky
Naruto: Never the strongest, and unlike Ash, he lost some pretty hard battles, while Ash usually wins the ones you'd never say he would based on statistics.

And I quote said:
Also on the note of many anime's follow the main character gets stronger and stronger idea, none of those animes are any good. Like really, what are you talking about DBZ, Inuyasha, Naruto... those are all really bad
Pokemon is also about Ash getting stronger and stronger so I really think that you messed it up a bit.

So compered to those animes, Pokemon is merely an anime you watch, already knowing what's going to happen. Ash won't lose, and even if he does, he'll win the next time.
Now,... dont get me wrong! I'm not saying that Pokemons are a bad anime. I still watch it from time to time, and I enjoy watching it. But as a manga collector I feel obliged to not let other ppl talk c.rap about something they dont know nothing about.

I forgot about the frontier brain who had the Regis. Maybe it is ok to capture some of the legendaries.
But I still think that Ash shouldn't catch any.

In one of the Johto opening credits, you see Ash attacking Suicune with Pikachu...

Why don't they just let him catch Suicune at least >.< (Gary would...)

Well, I think Gary should totally catch some legendaries, show off in front of his cheerleaders, then tell Ash he's a loser :p

Unfortunatly, he's not like that anymore :(

It's a little thing called character development. It'll happen every now and then. Gary is more mature now.

Exactly why i like Gary more than Ash.

Ash's character isn't developing at all :D

I think Gary is a bad remake of blue from the manga, but started as a bragging kid, and ended to be more like ash.

I hate Ash, Gary is decent, evolving his Pokemon and his arrogance, equals a good character! All Ash is about is making friends with Pokemon and never evolving them...

Wish you people would stop making generalizations and realize that Ash DOES evolve his Pokemon! Good grief. ._.; Also, Ash is what many people would call an every man, and Gary is what many people would call a jerk. Now, if you met these two people, who would you want to be friends with; the one who was nice, or the one who just bragged about himself and insulted you all the time?

I don't know about you, but I like nice people, kthx.

I do too, but its not the real world, it is entertaining to watch Gary with his pokemon, in the real world I probably would like Ash, but I think he gets into other peoples buisness. Gary on the other hand gets on with his own life. Since Gary is hardly never on now, it is one of the reasons why I don't watch Battle Dimension. All the older pokemon episodes are better I think. And I'm 12, I don't know if people my age prefer the old ones than the new ones... And since when did I say I don't like polite people, well I do.]

And Gary cares for his pokemon unlike Paul.

Oh, of course; Gary is a highly endearing character, but I believe only to watch. He's a fun character, definitely agree; but I'd never want to meet him in real life. :3

Yeah.

I saw Gary's last episode, Got A Catch You Later, he says he is now good, and now going to be Prosesser Gary Oak. Or anthoer Prosesser Oak. He might appear in some new episodes, BWTH I hate Paul!!! Let's kill him! (just kidding!) Sorry Paul. (I said JUST KIDDING, alright?)

If i remember correctly, Gary is shown in quite a lot more episodes after that one you mentioned...
