Does anyone know why?

You're definitely right. They're just collectors who have decided to sell a sealed game that has been out of print for a long time.Afro-G said:Because they are brand new and factory sealed games. They don't make those games anymore so if you want it new you have to pay for it.
You can buy them pretty cheap used though.
Edit: I can't say that I'm 100% sure if my reason right, but if it's wrong then somebody please correct me, thank you.
As mlouden said, no. Always $15-30. And if you ever buy at GameStop for used games, even higher now that they aren't accepting GBA games.safariblade said:So a used R/S/E would still go for like $5 though, right?
safariblade said:I was just more concerned with this, because I recently sold some Gen3 games, and I was hoping that I didn't get jipped. But I understand everything now, Thanks!
It's called "making a profit". Also I believe it's spelt "gypped". (Out of interest, is that Bionicle game called "Maze of Shadows"?)Chariblaze said:If you sold them at GameStop, you got jipped.
I sold an unplayable Bionicle game for $2, and an ATV game for around $3. Came back a few months later, and they're still sitting there, now at $7 and $10, respectively. >.>
That is the only reason why these games are $100 - they are collector's items and have never been opened.Afro-G said:Because they are brand new and factory sealed games. They don't make those games anymore so if you want it new you have to pay for it.
