BW/BW2 Generation V Dream World Pokémon

I also see Sheer Force used on Darmanitan way more than I've seen Zen Mode. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen Zen Mode except for when my friends and I were trying it out.

I use a Zen Mode Darmanitan in my Rotation Battles team. Figuring out an EV scheme for it was difficult.

Does it work for you? If it does, would you mind sharing the EVs with us so more can benefit from your hard work?

I think two interesting ones will be Klinklang (Clear Body) and Cinccino (Skill Link). Klinklang finally doesn't have a deadweight ability, and since Cinccino gets several multi-hit moves, it can be very devastating.
Except Cinccino's multi-hit moves are all walled by Steel types. Ferrothorn laughs in its face because of Iron Barbs.
Zen Mode Darmanitan shouldn't be used, IMO, when you could have the much better Sheer Force ability.

Zen Mode seems like a really good ability on paper. But even with the Defenses being much higher (Almost double normal Darmanitan if I remember correctly). Fire/Psychic is a really bad defensive typing, and being restricted to being at 50% HP doesn't help Darmanitan at all.

and yeah, Sheer Force is a fantastic ability on Darmanitan already.

I don't remember what I did with it, but it was one of those very rare cases where the Nature I settled upon is a neutral one, since Zen Mode Darmanitan needs to make use of all of its stats. Also, chances are the strategy I use with it is different than what you have in mind.

I've battled a bunch of random battles over Wi-Fi, and this seems to hold up pretty well in Rotation Battles. (It really only works in Rotation Battles as my strategy revolves around building up momentum, which gets killed if I ever switch.) That being said, Zen Mode Darmanitan is pretty situational and requires that you can accurately determine what your opponent is going to do.

I will also look forward to Golurk, and I probably won't use Klinklang until it comes out in the Dream World. These Pokémon don't have genders, though, so you will have to catch the one you want from Entree Forest.

A lot of Pokémon are gimmicky, but they can still be used if used right and with good prediction ability.

eh, today I got really disappointed with the Dream World abilities thing... I noticed that Surskit has Rain Dish as DW ability and I instantly thought Masquerain had it too. I was aware that some pokémon change their DW ability when they evolve, but I never thought that Surskit was one of those cases... I was already thinking about a Masquerain with Rain Dish, using Hydro Pump and Quiver Dance and holding Leftovers in a Rain Team, just for the fun of it (I think it would be decent to use, at least in the lower tiers); but when I decided to evolve one of my DW Surskits to Masquerain, I saw that its ability changed to Unnerve... I wouldn't say Epic, but it's definitly a Big Fail GameFreak...
